When I read with a Christian attitude

I believe Judas repented and was forgiven by Christ for his betrayal

1,at last supper the decipiles all asked is it I

2,Jesus said it is the one who dip into the bowl at the same time ad Jesus

And when he did satan immediately entered into Judas therefore satan was not in Judas before that

3 Jesus Said go quickly and do what you are to do

    4. So Judas identified Jesus and they bound Jesus

5.he later said he betrayed an innocent man and repented

That is the same we all do when we realize as sinners we repent

And ask for forgiveness and accept Jesus as our lord and savoir and he is just to forgive

6,Judas took the money and threw it back at the priest and left

And he went and hanged himself

Who would not feel such sorrow and depressed that he could have done such a thing

Depressed can get so depressed that they cannot accept what he did

He did not buy a field

That field was where he hung himself and where the priest buried the money as that they could put put blood money back in the treasury

How long hang on that tree before he started to decay

Not long as insects would attack an would be easy to fall from the Knose

And hit rocks head first to the. Rocks and spilt open

Resembling when in state people would split there clothes In sorrow

The veil of the temple split when Jesus died on cross and no longer needed any except Jesus to go to god for propitiation to god as he the way the truth any the only way to his father

Cannot Jesus forgive and remove devils he sure can

6 peter denied Jesus 3 times before the cock crowed

The deciples to stay awake while he prayed

He found them sleeping 2 times

    Is that not betrayal

    God forgave them and Peter

And all the deciples ran and hid when the crowd came and arrested Jesus to save their lived

    So is that not betrayal

    God forgave

Only John present while jesus was crucified

And told John to take care of his mother

Judas had to do to fulfil the scriptures

Dear friends in Jesus. Is it not so that Judas have heard the word spoken by Jesus from the beginning of the journey with the Lord?

How is it possible to stand against the Word of God?

Judas have also seen all the work of God what Jesus did. How is it possible to stand against the Lord?

Could it have being any of the disciples who took food from the dish, that the devil get in to? No.

Or is this a huge picture of what money can do to ppl? Do we reely want money then and get stinginess?

I belive we can turn away from that issue, and we can be saved.

    Acts 1:25

That he may take part of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas by transgression fell, that he might go to his own place.

In my KJV translation is might omitted. So its like this 25) to get part in this ministry the apostolic work that Judas abused, so he could go to his own place.

He was chosen by the Lord, Judas was a Apostle like the others, for sure the King loved him. He had no choice on this question it was predetermined. Someone had to do it unfortunately.

    John 17:12

While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

So i belive Judas have a place, but if its Judas Jesus talking about here, then he is lost.

    Leland,

God has declared the end from the beginning, He is in total control and it is hard for us to grasp with our human minds. It is for His pleasure and His glory and His counsel shall stand Isaiah 46:10. It is beyond our understanding, like what God allowed Satan to do to Job. I was not blessed with children and I cannot pretend to know how I would feel if I lost every child I had, along with all I owned. Do we have that kind of faith? The times are coming for those who are living when the end of days begins, it will take that kind of faith.

God uses people good and bad to do His will. Look at Pharaoh, God raised him to do His will Exodus 9:16. God named King Cyrus of Persia by name before he is even born to serve Him, Isaiah 45, and more.

I feel Jesus answers this, God gave the disciples to Jesus, and Judas was given to fulfill scripture. God knew who he was and he is one of two who is called the son of perdition.

John 17:12 While I was with them in the world, I kept them in thy name: those that thou gavest me I have kept, and none of them is lost, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.

    God bless,

    Ronald,

Amen! the phrase son of perdition is a title. And in the Bible, that's only given to two people; Judas Iscariot and the antichrist that is yet to come. Jesus chose an evil man (Judas) to fulfill an evil deed. Judas was among the 12 that followed along with the other 11 during Christ's ministry. But Judas was evil the entire time. Judas was the one who was put in charge of the treasury and he was stealing money from it. John 12:6 tells us that he was stealing out of the treasury of the disciples. He was stealing out of the money bag.

    Thanks Jesse,

Judas was a scoundrel, what we don't keep in remembrance, the fact that Jesus was going to be crucified, put in a tomb, and resurrected on the third day, it was hidden from the disciples. They thought He was going to set up the kingdom then and Judas probably thought he would have a grand job in treasury where he would have access to the money. He did not kill himself until he saw Jesus was condemned, probably just before or after Jesus was crucified. Matthew 27:1-4

His comment, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood" he betrayed Jesus, and now they were killing him, he was not the Messiah because the Messiah was supposed to set up the kingdom, I turned in the wrong man. Just a thought, don't take it to the bank.

    God bless,

    Leland,

It is true that Judas repented. But is it really the same repentance that a person expresses when they realize their sin and need of a Savior. I would say no, and please allow me to explain how I come to this conclusion.

First off, we do know that the Bible says that Judas repented. But the word used where it says he repented is not the word used for repent as in making a decision to change the direction of your life and surrendering your life to Christ.

The repentance you mention that we as believers express is the word METANOEO which is true repentance where a person makes the decision to change the direction of their life. And that person must realize that they cannot change themselves. They need Christ to make that change.

The word METANOEO is not the word that was used for Judas where it says he repented. That word is METAMELOMAI which is a word that means to be sorry for your action.

So yes, Judas was sorry for his action, but he did not express true repentance and ask for forgiveness. Plus, Judas was evil from the very beginning when Jesus chose him to be part of the 12. Jesus chose an evil man to fulfill an evil deed.

I just wanted to share this with you on the word repent. We see it in our English Bible and we know what repent means in English. But knowing that there is more than one word in the Greek text for our English word repent, I have to conclude that Judas was only sorry for his action (METAMELOMAI), because that's the word that was used, and he never truly repented (METANOEO).

I have to disagree with you

Judas said he betrayed and innocent man and repented

He returned the money and left

    And hung himself

He could not accept what he did

But you forget Jesus said that what Judas did had to happen to fulfill the scriptures

The priest buried the money in the field that judas hanged himself

How long did hang on that tree

Neither you or me know that

But after death the body will decay fast

You first recognize you are a sinnner

    Then repent

Do you or anyone know that Judas was forgiven by Jesus Christ

    No

But I believe Jesus loved everyone

    Jesus is god

Much bigger than you or I

Where do you see in Bible that Judas was always possessed with the devil

Read the Bible that at the moment Judas dipped there hands in the bowl

    Satan immediately entered into Judas

So he was not there before

Jesus was beaten spit on and had to carry his own cross he was nailed to the cross and buried and arose in three days

He suffered in hell for 3 days

For us who are all sinners

Remember the man on the cross Jesus said today you will be with me in paradise

God the father god the son and the Holy Spirit are the same

So Judas is the only person who could not be forgiven

You see I am only asking a question

    Not challenging gods word

I am a Christian and love god with all my heart with all my soul with all my mind

And Thank god giving me the privilege of being a physician to serve god in that compasity

I hate the thought of anyone going to hell

So do I known the way Judas went

    I believe in redemption

We all will know one day

I just want everyone will go to heaven

But god gave us free will

All I can do is pray for the lost

    And witness

God will judge all the unrighteousness

    One day

I know without a doubt Jesus saved me

Can I not wish the same for all of us sinners

I am under not illusion that there is a hell

Bless you my brother in Jesus Christ

    Have a wonderful Christmas

Jesse My understanding biblically is repentance is for the unsaved[before born again] and forgiveness

when a believer sins recognises it and ask and be thankful for forgiveness and move on. This is short version.

    Jesse is right

For we all have sinned and come short of the glory of god

And recognizing that and asking for forgiveness

    We repent of our sins

And from gods grace and mercy and faith

    He is just to forgive

And gives us the holy sprit and from that moment we are reborn into the heaven of god the father god the son and god the Holy Spirit

    We have a new Conscience

Judas said he betrayed an innocent man

    And repented

I only use the kink James version

Not the new king James or any other

Because they change words an words change meaning

    A. Is different than the

Kjv says for the love of money is the root of all evil

Even new kjv version uses a

Our Sunday school teachers wife said it was just semantics

    Then I thought about it

And said well let's change this verse to an A.

Jesus said I am the way the life and the truth and no one comes to my father except thru me

Change that to and A then Jesus becomes irrelevant

Everyone one is trying to change repent to remorse

    Think about it

If Judah at that time had remorse

Do you think satan would have any remorse

    I don't think so

The field judas hanged himself in

Was purchased by iniquity not money

Judas split open after hanging from the tree how long was he there

The physical body starts decomposing fast

The veil of the temple also split when Jesus died on the cross

Meaning Jesus is now the. Perpetuation of our sins and intercedes for us thru god

Jeremiah chapter 31 and verse 34 says

And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, no the Lord for they shall all know me from the least of them to the greatest of them say that the Lord for I will forgive their iniquity and I will remember their sin no more

So I feel that Jesus and know that Jesus gave his life for all of us and is unlimited and his ability to love and to save

And that also applies to Judas.

Can I absolutely say that Judas was forgiven and went to heaven

    No I cannot
