Jesus instructs us to repent and sin no more. Most bible scripture like this is very clear, and easy to understand.
John 5:14
"Afterward Jesus findeth him in the temple, and said unto him, Behold, thou art made whole: sin no more, lest a worse thing come unto thee."
John 8:11
"She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more."
Many people think they can't stop sinning. Jesus thinks that we can, and he tells us - to stop sinning. Jesus has more faith in us, than we have in him. Jesus can help us to stop sinning, but we need to really have FAITH and believe that we can! Remember the mustard seed.
Aman Brother Dan I agree when Jesus saved us he expects us to keep sin and evil ideals out of our life. But the problem is we let satan use our minds as a play field and not once do we think about what is happening. If we let the spirit lead us in all things we would have a closer walk with God. For Jesus told us to strive to be purfect as he is purfect.
