This part of the story of Joseph in Egypt shows how God stayed with Joseph in every circumstance. he was going to fulfill Joseph's fore-ordained purpose no matter what choices people made in Joseph's life. I was glad to read that Joseph's faith had grown since he attributed the interpretation of dreams to God. It must have been a bit difficult to tell the interpretation to the baker knowing that the outcome was not good for this person. But, Joseph believed He was speaking for God and feared God enough to speak truthfully, wishing to please God and not man. Perhaps having the opportunity to interpret these dreams was a way to prepare Joseph to interpret Pharaoh's dream, which was riskier than interpreting the dreams of the prisoners. Knowing that his interpretations of the dreams of the two men helped Joseph gain confidence that God was indeed working through him in such a supernatural way, that it wasn't himself interpreting, but God.
