In society we're seeing a lot of evil called good, and good called evil. Criminals are being rewarded in our justice system, for example. People who loot, assault others, commit crimes for a 'cause' are generally let go with no punishment, while people who try to defend themselves against evil are now prosecuted. Invaders are even paid by certain hidden programs to invade their own country in order to accomplish a certain ideological objective. Money is being stolen from citizens to pay for these ideological partisan programs through government mass printing money to devalue everyone's currency. As if people weren't already financially struggling through recent events, now the government is stealing from innocent people.
It occurred to me that the Bible has predicted this.
Isaiah 5:20
And I found some other verses explaining what we're currently experiencing in society.
2 Timothy 4:3 - this explains the rampant propaganda in the media today. Many peddling lies aren't even as ashamed to be caught doing it anymore and believe the end justifies the means. It turns out their end is not truth, but their religious political objective. To many it is their political ideology is their religion and is their false god they worship.
2 Peter 2:1 - false teachers. In the last 12 months I've heard more false teachings than ever before. Huge attacks on Christianity coming from all angles, even deceived Christians. Amazingly distorted views of God, the Bible, sin, morality, and all kinds of things that are very creative and almost clever in how distorted it is. It turns out there's much pressure to conform to the world's version of morality and some seek to bend God's morals in order to fit the world's morals rather than the other way around, despite Romans 12:2. The Bible and God's morals haven't changed, only some people do.
2 Timothy 3:1-5 - warns about end times.
Folks, I believe we are entering the end times. The time to get right with God is running out. May God's blessings be on everyone here.
Adam, because you're feeling this burden, I believe maybe the HOLY Spirit put it there. You seem really good with the computer because I've noticed you post links. Maybe you can start an emergency Christian website or email group.
These are distressing times. Those who are rebellious to God are trying to overthrow Him at every turn. We, as believers, need to stand strong in our faith and firm in our convictions to honor His way with our godly living. We know where we are headed and sadly, where the rebellious are headed.
I have been considering Isaiah5:20 for about 40 years or so when I really saw a turn in our societal norms. It is the "senior" generation in our society that really began to challenge moral norms on a large scale back in the 60's and 70's and we have reaped what we have sown in the degradation of our families, neighborhoods, communities, politics, and in the church family.
Back then, those of us who stayed the course could speak out about God's way and our opposition to current moral trends without much unpleasant recourse. But today, it is a completely different story. People can be ostracized, can lose friends, jobs, etc. over voicing their opinion according to our first amendment.
I think that we, whether we are in the last days or not, should begin preparing ourselves to be persecuted and or even martyred for our faith in Jesus. I kind of think this is coming soon to our country. It has existed in other countries for some time, especially in countries controlled by Islamic adherents. With this said, I would like to know how we prepare for this? How do we network for people to assist others, to escape harmful situations, to sustain ourselves physically if resources are cut off. I know that we may need to do so, just as those in the early church age needed to do during the times of persecution. So, I would love to find out more about what others are connected to in regards to this. I want to be prepared to take someone in who is trying to escape harm, or supply needed things to people who have been stripped of their ability to provide for themselves or families.
