Generally I find programs on TBN and such channels to be wrong teaching, like pushing prosperity gospel and the idea that God is just a genie in a bottle there to serve you- almost becoming self-worship and making everything about serving yourself rather than you serving God. I generally think it does more harm than good and think it just gives people another reason to push God away. That is my impression based on the programs I've seen.

However, I recently saw a Bible study program on TV by Les Feldick who I never heard of before, but thought it was excellent and refreshing. He seemed to go deep into the word and was based on scripture substance and not mere feelings and opinion. I only saw part of one program so I cant make any sweeping statements about him, but the content I did see was excellent and maybe could be found online somewhere.

Hi Derek There are a few so called red flags with certain [t.v.evangelists] just because someone said they

supposedly confessed Jesus as lord doesn't mean they understood and remained committed to that. Another

point if someone says on T.V. that someone out there has a problem in their elbow or heart problem chances

if their listening audience is 2 million or over the number dictates that probably someone does that doesn't

mean God told them. One more point they are always wanting money when in the book of Acts people gave

because they got delivered and voluntarily brought there abs and additional wealth to be used by believers.

Also like you said the wealth guarantee. Philippians says God shall supply all our need and its available to have

an abundant life but whats the point of 11 million dollar mansions and private jets and banks accounts worth

100 million. My bible says everything in balance but a lot are tipping Gods Justice Scales. Please don't tell me

I have to GIVE to give to Get Blessed by God again we start with Romans 10:9+10 and as we walk in that faith

and God begins to bless your life you give as God puts on your heart, we give because WE WANT TO NOT

BECAUSE WE HAVE TO GOD LOVES A CHEERFUL GIVER! I didn't write the book. Just Some Heart!

Precious Derek, yes, not all of TV 'preaching' is of much value. Many years ago I was a 'babe' trying to 'learn and grow' - gave money to Pat Robertson ministry UNTIL I started 'receiving DUPLICATE mailings' ENDED that 'waste' IMMEDIATELY...

...took a few years to "get OUT of my 'Confusion'" - Les Feldick is one of a FEW good, Rightly Divided Dispensationalists. I have personally been receiving a FREE monthly study (finding Very LITTLE Bible 'disagreements') with Berean Bible Society (org online) for Over 30 years now, And they have Several article contributors that have Greatly Enriched me With Much Bible Encouragement over the years! (God Gives "safety in a Multitude of counselors" eh?) Proverbs 11:14

Precious Derek, Please Be Richly Encouraged, Enlightened, Exhorted, and Edified in your own "journey of Growing In His 'Amazing' GRACE!" 2 Timothy 2:15 Romans 16:25 Ephesians 3:9 = Grace/Mystery fellowship {Romans - Philemon}, For ALL "to SEE," today,?

Derek, Totally agree with you concerning TBN and DAYSTAR, and other such TV programming. Most of them teach, promote false teachings, but also welcome eagerly anyone to be on their show wo will serve up the newest and current trend in false teaching. I did watch them for a time over 20 years ago, but after giving it a good go, I decided I was done with their false teaching (and it was getting worse with time). haven't watched for a few decades. I have seen Les Feldick on a local channel at times.

I think it is best if someone engages in an in person Christian fellowship unless they are home bound for some reason. praying before visiting a church will allow one to know the lead of the Holy Spirit as to which fellowship is best for the person.

As Grace said, there are some good sites online to receive teaching and bible study. I just caution that there are many sites that are filled with false teachings, some blatant and obvious, and others more subtle. So perhaps, others reading here could recommend some solid sites. Thanks Grace for you suggestions.
