  • Solstice, but no Christmas just a comment - 2 years ago
I work in an elementary school in the U.S. Today many "celebrated" Winter Solstice, made Solstice

cards, gave gifts and said Happy Holidays or Happy Solstice. But no one said "Merry Christmas."

I was the only one in the faculty that gave cards with the image of Jesus's birth on it, and had some

scripture. Our culture has become so secularized. It is now not at all PC in public schools to mention

Christmas, much less "Jesus.". One 3rd grader today saw a word in the dictionary, that mentioned "beliefs of

Christians." She said to me, "what's a Christian?" I heard another 4th grader who said they drove by

a building with a huge "T" on the building, and did not know it was a symbol of the Cross, and did not know

what that symbol meant. Are pagan traditions coming back to the "one world order"???

Yep you are right, the schools are becoming more and more anti-christian but accepting of pagan celebrations like solstice or practices like "mindulness", meditation, yoga, Ramadon, etc. I just retired from teaching in public schools and it has gotten so much worse these past 5-10 years. I honestly think that those in power are afraid of christianity and especially Jesus because they know it is true ad they stand condemned before Him for their unbelief, all under te guise of not wanting to "offend people of other faiths or no faith.

Parents be warned, the public school system is now positioned to strip your child of their faith and Christian upbrining.

I rejoice to bear witness of Him as I walk among it all.

My witness is quiet, but known. I am not afraid at all for

Christ, seemingly buried. I feel his knowing smile underneath

it all, biding His time. Lord, Your time is now! I know the End,

"It is Done." He smiles with joy... Meanwhile, I'm making myself

comfortable with walking in the fire with my fellow saints, praising God.

yep, When I was teaching, the staff knew I was a Christian and many would come to me to ask for prayer and I with them. When my parents would share that they were believers, I would let them know I was, too and they were so happy to have a believing teacher for their children. So, we can be lights for Christ in these situations. However, many teachers practice the pagan things in their classrooms, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, etc. without regards to the idea that they are pagan practices and that some parents would be offended and not want their child exposed. But most parents do not know tis is happening.

    Are you still teaching?

Thank you Gigi for being a light for our little ones. It is good to have your flowers while it is light. Yah bless!
