Why is David's soul referred to in the feminine? "My soul shall make HER boasting"

Hi Joe. We have to remember that Jesus is Bridegroom, we are his brides. The church is the bride. So he calls the spirit within him that for many reasons, one being that Yah has set everything up so there is a male and a female counterpart. And again, Jesus is Bridegroom, we are his brides. That is why.

Hi Joe. In Hebrew, 'soul' is in the feminine gender. Many languages, as you may know, apply it's gender to the object & sometimes don't use the neuter gender.

It sounds strange to us since 'soul' is neuter in English. Another example is 'wisdom', as in Proverbs 1:2, where it too is feminine so you might also see it referred to as 'her/she.'

    I getcha.

Does the same apply to the moon, as well?

    Matthew 24:29

That's correct Joe. My Greek Lexicon tells me that the moon (Gk. selene; pr. sel-ay-nay), is a feminine noun.

Joe Psalms 34:2 Depending on the context the word for her is translated [its, soul , breath,or desire]so in this verse

the word desire fits perfect. There are many things in scripture like this.
