    What does purgatory mean according to King James

    Sherri Nothing it is part of Roman Catholicism belief system to put people in fear.

    Sherri, I do not believe that purgatory is mentioned in scripture by that term. It is an idea that is conjectured from some Apocryphal scripture verses, I believe. I don't believe it is a real place as taught by the Catholic Church. It is said to be a place where one is purged or purified from our sins and prepare one for entering heaven, but that doesn't really fit with our remission of sins through the sacrifice of Jesus.
