Isn't it something, Peggy, how that homosexuality has populated into something celebrated and even 'honored by gov't legislature' from a silent, in-closet, ashamed-of behavior? This indicates that not only the popular view has changed, but also that the behavior is becoming a common, lesser ashamed-of behavior which aligns with Paul's statement here in verses 24--26. The sin that Paul is referring to, he explains conspicuously and irrefutably in THREE parts: 1) dishonor of their bodies between themselves, 2) worship of the CREATURE rather than the CREATOR, 3) Changing of the NATURAL USE into that which is against nature. We do not know why many of the prophets and writers of scripture did not mention this sin...although a few did mention it, like Paul and Moses... One might conclude that perhaps it was "a given" since even the Gentiles, as Paul said in ch.2 v.14 and 15..."those without the law who knew by nature the things contained in the law...and that these having NOT the law are a law unto themselves"...and (finally), "which shews the work of the law written in their hearts, etc." I believe we not only know in our hearts if our sin is against nature, but when we defy this understanding and 'do it anyway', there must be consequence. It is summarized in v.32. Shame on us when we know what is wrong and do it anyway!
