I'd like to comment on John 3:19. I've always been fascinated or, should I say curious, very curious about why people don't accept the message of the Gospels, namely, Jesus Christ. I mean before God opened my eyes (heart) to the truth of the Gospels, I was as big a sinner as the next man. But, knowing the truth, God's truth......I can see more clearly the cause of mankind's woe. It's of course the rejection of Christ Jesus. The answer I have found is of course in John 3:19. But, even though rejecting Jesus is a choice.....I feel it's also a matter of being deceived by the adversary of our souls. He whispers : it's all foolishness, they're all hypocrites, it's all about rules and regulations, think of all you'll have to give up. On and on. They/we believe the lies. I also see why God is going to judge people so harshly. To reject the sacrifice of His only Son, His most precious possession is truly....well I don't know what to say or how to describe such a thing. I'd like to finish this by saying, I'm so grateful for the Holy Spirit. What a gift. I'm also grateful for the act of reconciliation. If the unsaved would only know that they do not have to be perfect. That they have the gift of reconciliation to get right with God. That's all it would take, just a conversation with the lover of our souls. I hope I haven't taken up to much space.

It's always beneficial & stimulating to receive comments as yours, Modesto, reminding us that its only through the Gospel of God's Son, Jesus Christ, that Light has dawned into our hearts & released us from the clutches & deceptions of that wicked one. And truly, Satan has "blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them." ( 2 Corinthians 4:4). But if they should, in faith, step out of that great darkness & get a glimmer of that pure holy Light, their hearts will be opened & that 'Light will shine in their hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.' (v6).

But even as Jesus said in Mark 2:17, "They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance." Until the sinner knows that he is a sinner, away from God, destined for Hell, he has no need for "The Physician". The Lord calls these to come to Himself - the righteous (resting on their self-righteousness) don't receive the invitation; but when they realize that their "righteousnesses are as filthy rags", the Physician is ready, ever-waiting to smother them with His Love, healing balm & reception as His very Own. Thank you for your worthy thoughts.

    Matthew 25:31-46, Matthew 7:21,

What I've found with most people who seemingly reject the "church" have suffered greatly

    1 Corinthians 4:5, Psalms 98:9,

    Hopefully this is helpful
