    Where can I find answers for the arguable concept of the days of the week? Some say the Sabbath is Saturday and others say it is Sunday. Which is correct? The word "Sunday" does not appear anywhere in the bible.

    we do not keep the sabbath as new testament Christians so don't worry yourself you are not in violation

    [ Col 2:16 KJV] 16 Let no man, therefore, judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath [days]:

    the sabbath was a picture of salvation through Jesus no work on the sabbath and we do no work for eternal life

    [ Tit 3:5 KJV] 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to his mercy he saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost;

    Precious friend, Since JESUS Is our 'Reality' Of REST, we can now do that 24/7. Thus no need to get 'entangled in the legalism' of "keeping (the 'shadow' of) the sabbath." As Paul Clearly Teaches us, from God:

    "Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath: which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ." Colossians 2:16-17

    Hi Doug,

    The Bible does not mention the names of the days of the weeks as we know them.

    The names are from the Julian calendar, I believe, and came at a later date than the writings of Scripture.

    So, in reality, I don't think we can really know the exact day of the week when Adam and Eve had their first Sabbath rest. We just know that it was the first day after their first day of life, if Genesis tells us they were made on day six.

    I think the important thing for believers is to "rest" on the finished work of Christ Jesus.

    We can choose to have a Sabbath rest every 7 days, every day, or another schedule that fits our life conditions.

    This is because the law of grace allows us liberty to keep the spirit of the law and not dimly the letter.

    Thank you for your reply. This is the conclusion that I have come to as well. If one practices a 7day cycle in their daily lives, and rests on the seventh day, then he is keeping the sabbath in accordance with God's commandment.
