  • CHURCH CAN BE A PLACE OF HEALING - 3 years ago
I know of strong Christians that deviated from scripture just a little. Years later they are fully Apostate.

The Church is going to FALL AWAY. Question is, are WE going to fall away?

Look at Satan's Names List. He's Hell bent on defeating Jesus. Thinks he has it in the bag.

Who will stand up like Ezekiel did in chapter 37, and prophesy to the dry bones in our churches?

It just doesn't feel right to me, to let people wander off into apostasy without a comment.

Peoples hearts are hardened if they are told often they are going to hell on a Hell-Fire rocket. Hell's gonna bust wide open.

The Apostasy in the church is this: nobody praying on their face for revival; distancing ourselves from "the lukewarm, etc. I worked in a church. Only 20% tithe. Fights over parking spaces and which pew is theirs.

I have a happy Valentines cassette of a sermon; and then the Pastor starts talking about people who go church to church, looking for the best most perfect one. Then he leans into the microphone and says, STOP SLEEPING AROUND.

I almost passed out, but I saw paled faces everywhere. I was innocent but the force of the Holy Spirit made me slip down too. Some people left that church after that; but a whole lot of people got healed.

The Holy Spirit knows when He is WELCOME to do some ministry in a corporate setting. Some people are scared to death to lift up holy hands and give a wave offering.

One Wednesday night at intercessory prayer (about 50 people), the Holy Spirit showed up. The pastor said "anyone that had ever made a promise and then didn't keep it (on purpose): come forward and be restored, forgiven and healed. Twelve hypocrites stayed seated but the rest of us went up. I was slain in the spirit 20 feet away from Pastor. just sitting on the floor. It was undeniably the Power of the Holy Spirit. Everyone is giddy over being FORGIVEN for false promises and all kinds of stuff. JOY JOY JOY

Don't Quench the Holy Spirit. LET HIM IN.

    Hi Mishael,

You shared quite a bit. I agree that we're in a spiritual battle, rather than the battle is already won and we can just chillax mindset.

As far as the apostacy, I probably have a different opinion. I believe in accountability among brothers and sisters, but based on scripture I think this has a limit at some point if someone has turned away from Jesus and is embracing a sinful life. If we are no longer the one encouraging and influencing, but are at risk of being tempted and adversely affected ourselves, that might be one indicator to back off and draw closer to Jesus followers. The reason I believe that is verses like 2 Timothy 3:1-5 it says 'from such turn away'. Also Ephesians 5:11, Revelation 3:16.

You mentioned only 20% of church goers tithe. I'm not sure how you'd know that, because each person can give anonymously sometimes, and may give to a variety of other people and organizations in need. I personally believe that its just as much of an act of giving to give of ones own time directly helping someone rather than paying $ to an organization to do the same thing. I personally prefer helping someone in person directly. And I think ones time and efforts have great value. Maybe some consider that a tithe, maybe some don't. But I do, and I don't know how someone could possibly calculate what others are or are not giving. Also, we have seasons of famine and properity and sometimes people simply aren't able to give much and I think that's ok. I don't think that broke college students should feel guilt or inferior or that they're not Christians for not being able to give a tithe. Its more likely satan who wants them to feel that way.

That's awesome you experienced a spirit filled service. One more thought worth sharing is you mentioned 12 people who didn't respond to a message were 'hypocrites'. As a brother in Christ I interpret that as sounding judgmental. We have no idea what thoughts are occuring in someone's mind and I wouldn't assume its bad.

I wasn't judging. I had the greatest sense of sorrow, but you're right I used the wrong word.

After a hard evening walking sidewalks (street ministry), all kinds of weather, it's the NO's that you remember when you get home. Rather than rest, you pray.
