When the the statement let us make man in our own image is made. Who is the us that's implied?

Some would say the Father the Son and the Holy spirit because it's easy to do. I'm searching for true understanding to have proof and evidence because I don't want to run away from these questions when contending with people while witnessing in the future.

The Scriptures about the Godhead. Sometimes called "Let Us..." in some passages. These scriptures are evidence of all 3 persons of the Godhead speaking to each other.

The Father purposes

The Word (Jesus) speaks. ( John 1:1)

The Spirit (Holy Spirit) executes the spoken word. Action.

All working together. Jesus came to show us the Father, as Emmanuel.

1 Corinthians 12:1-31 explains all the gifts, titled, administrations that God gives to the Church that Jesus has planted on earth Now.

Those that He calls, he anoints for the work. Luke 4:18. The Bible says the gifts and callings are without revocation. If we try to operate without the Holy Spirits anointing; we will not bear good fruit. Can even become apostate.

It's not something to treat carelessly. The Head of the Church is Jesus Christ. All parts of the Body are connected to Jesus.

God lives outside of time and inside of time.

Romans 1 says that if we dispute the evidence of the reality of God; we are without excuse.

I'm not debating this. It's for whomsoever Will believe God is. Can the clay say to the Potter, " what are you doing?!!

A good REFERENCE Study Bible (KJV)with a "center column reference cross scriptures" is very God for cross reading other relevant passages. It's the best.

It was referring to all of us , an himself too !!! In our original spiritual body, try to remember what you looked like between 28 - 32 ,.. an that is pretty much what you look like in that spiritual body,.. an that body of course never gets old, never gets sick ,.. so when he created this age , for us all to go through one time , to decide weather we love God ,.. or Lucifer, it's just that simple !!!

Are you saying that all humans existed prior to conception as a spiritual being with God? If so, that view is not supported by Scripture nor the teaching of the church through the centuries. Mormons teach this view. To me, it is heresy.

Hi Gigi ,.. yes , i am saying that. An of course I mean no disrespect to anyone as of there views on learning, or extent of knowledge,.. but yes , we were all alive an well in spiritual body's ,.. until Lucifer ego an eventual downfall,.. an that left our Father in a difficult situation

Glenn If you are saying Adam and Eve only had spiritual bodies can you explain Genesis 2:7 formed dust of the ground

and of breath life I.E. lungs breathing air to support oxygenation in blood.

Hi , I certainly never said that !!! I said , we all were alive an well in spiritual body's ,. An after Lucifer's pride , then we were all made to go through this flesh life ,.. to decide weather we love god or satin ( Lucifer) he has many names ,.. of course, We know some chose to not do as God asked ,.. as we read in Jude ,.. Adam an eve , were the farmers God needed ,. Blood line for god himself to come threw , he would never ask us to do anything he would not do himself,.. For as we read in the last few paragraphs of chapter 1 genesis , he made the races, which were fishermen an hunters ,.. an he looked an it was good

I have never read in Scripture where it states this. I'd appreciate where you read this other than the Genesis passage (as it does not teach that).

Jeremiah,.. " I knew the before you were even born ",.. Jacob I loved esop I hated,.. again before they were born,.. if you read 2nd peter chapter 3 , it explains , all 3 of the earth ages ,.. not 3 different earths , not 3 different Heavens ,.. it's 3 ages ,.. the word in the Greek is eons ,.. meaning ages ,..

The reference about Jacob and Esau are a refer nice to God's omniscience, that God knew before creation all that would ever happen, all that anyone would think, say, and do.

It is it talking about Jacob and Esau existing prior to conception.

In speaking by about Jeremiah, Gid is speaks my about what He had pre-ordained not about Jeremiah existing prior to conception.

Again, since these verses do not prove a spiritual pre-existence of humans, I am open for you to supply Scripture that clearly teaches this.

An I am just thinking that we both have different understandings , I also believe in the 1st chapter of Ephesians , we are taught of predestination,.. I'm just glad that we can have mutual peace and understanding that we may not all have the same knowledge of a certain subject an of course I serve as no judge or know it all ,.. Yes we can disagree on this. But we both cannot be correct.

I do not think that you have shown the validity of your view from Scripture and most Christians across time would disagree with you.

But we can still be peaceable about this.

I was wondering if you could explain how you came to this view. Did you read it somewhere outside of Scripture or hear it preached by someone (who) or is it taught in your church affiliation (which is)

Just wish to know the sources from which you received this view.

Hi Gigi,.. no I did have any one say or tell me this ,. It's just my belief in my study that we were all made in spiritual body's ,. An living in a wonderful place,.: an unfortunately, Lucifer had worked his way up , an God made him a great cherub,. But hey, his pride and his ego , got in the way , an he had also fooled an third of us,.. into following him !!! An hey, that's why we are all going threw this flesh ,.. to decide which one we are going to be follow ,.. an interesting enough, early in genesis, God himself repented , on doing this , for he could see we were all pretty much selfish in this flesh body !!!

Glenn. I caution you. Satan is not human. He has to borrow a body. Ephesians 6 Satan, demons, principalities, powers, evil spirits: none have bodies. In the Old Testament they were called inhabitants. Satan took the body of a serpent.

Jesus told demons to get out of the crazy man and go into some pigs__which promptly DROWNED. They wander around looking for people who are drunk, drugged, immoral, etc. to get inside them. They don't mind if we read the Bible or go to church.

You should just give up this Old Earth Cult and be born again from Jesus. Follow Him. He will give you the Holy Spirit forever: to be your Teacher and Revealer of scripture in the KJV Bible. Ask Him to wipe your hard drive (brain) and Help you to win souls to God. Wise he is, who wins souls to God. Holy Spirit just said to tell you read in Timothy.

I strongly disagree with your interpretation. But, I can only recommend that you research such a belief in Christian history and see if your view is truly from God or not.

I appreciate your exchange with me. Some topics and differences can be uncomfortable, but to me, it is helpful to talk out ideas such as this.

I don't believe this because Scripture does not teach it and I believe it is heretical thinking.

I was reading in Genesis, the Holy Spirit stops me on verse 1. He said the 4 things

TIME: in the beginning__God set TIME ticking

FORCE: The Godhead created. (Father, The Word ( John 1:1) and Holy Spirit

ACTION: and the Spirit of God MOVED over

MATTER: earth, waters, atoms

God purposed, Word spoke: Light Be, and there was Light. (Purpose Spoke Light)

Carbon dating proves earth is around 2-3 billion years. SATAN was around but he's a created being. He cannot create dinosaurs, cavemen or anything other than chaos.

My personal theory is: Romans 1:19-20. God put the artifacts in earth for us to find; oil for our cars, coal to be warm, fresh water for us and salted water for creatures.

We have to pray for scientists to see the Book of Romans. It's an occupation, as is archaeology, bio science, medicine. We are without excuse if we refuse to acknowledge The Godhead.

I caution you, not to teach your ideas to Gods baby Christians.

There are many, many more scriptures all over the Bible about creation; not just in Genesis.

I've always thought some of the best stories are in chronicles, Kings, Samuel__Nehemiah. There's lots in Jeremiah. We just can't seem to like ALL parts of the Bible. Revelation 22 is key.

Replying to Mr. Glenn comment, I don't know if you meant to say it is the Spirit never get old or older, and the Spirit never ages. The body do get old, and it does changes, the body houses the spirit, it is the body that changes on the outside, were the Spirit remain the same, Just like Our Creator, He never changes He always remain the same, and I pray to be just like Him on earth until He transition me home with Him, Amen.
