    I would like to know more about the difference in the two ways that the children could have taken to get to Canaan.

    God bless Zetta it reminded me about the story of the seed being thrown ,and some of it being offended by the world ,and turning away from the truth.Where the Jewish people were God's chosen people so he did not want them tempted to turn back to Egypt,or away from the way the truth,and the life.So in his miraclious way he took them through the sea,and closed the sea upon Egypt!
