Hello George, I'm not sure what's going on, but James 5 may be applicable to your situation:

    James 5

"14Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord:

15And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him.

16Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much."

    ---

Some points to consider about this verse:

    1. According to the Bible, only men can be elders ( 1 Timothy 2:11-15 - 1 Corinthians 14:34-36 - 1 Timothy 3:1-2 - Titus 1:6)

    2. The anointing oil needs to be done; it's not "just medicinal" like some teach - (Read Mark 6:7 & 6:12-13 those were clearly supernatural healings, and yet they still used the anointing oil - when they anointed in the Old Testament, they simply poured oil on someone's head ( Leviticus 8:12 - 2 Kings 9:6 - 1 Samuel 10:1) - you don't need any man to "bless the oil", the Bible did not say to do that - the anointing simply needs to be done in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

    3. It says "the prayer of faith shall save the sick", so we should pray for faith for the one who is sick as well as the elders, otherwise, as it said earlier in James "...let not that man think that he shall receive any thing of the Lord." ( James 1:6-7)
