I have heard all my life that there is only one God, several places in Isaiah will prove that. Why if there is one God do preachers baptise in the "titles" of Father, Son, and Holyghost. Isaiah 9:6 states that For unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be on his shoulders, his name shall be called wonderful, counselor, the mighty god, the everlasting father and the prince of peace. Matthew states that Mary had conceived of the Holyghost. So correct me if I am wrong - the baby in the manger Jesus is God in the Flesh, the Father, the Son, and the Holyghost. So why don't they cut the chase and make it simple and baptise in JESUS Name?
The Father, The Son & The Holy Sprit,.. it's called the trinity,.. it's all one , the one membered body ,. Grab a paddle, jump in, we all have the same wishes
Thanks, S. Spencer. You have cited and posted Scriptures that show clearly that God is a Trinity for those who are willing to believe it. I pray that many reading your post who have not believed tis before will believe.
Great Question, Perhaps because all three of the God head contributed to our new birth.
1) The Father called you.
2 Timothy 1:9.
2) The son bought us.
Galatians 3:13.
3) The spirit Quickened us.
Romans 8:11.
What we have hidden here is the trinity being taught.
In Acts 2:24. it notes the Father raised him from the dead.
In John 10:17-18. Jesus raises himself.
In Romans 8:11. It's the Holyspirit.
These 3 are one.
through baptism ww are one with them.
Ephesians 4:4-6. There is one body, and one Spirit, even as ye are called in one hope of your calling;
One Lord, one faith, one baptism,
One God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
John 14:17-23. Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.
I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.
Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also.
At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.
He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.
Judas saith unto him, not Iscariot, Lord, how is it that thou wilt manifest thyself unto us, and not unto the world?
Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.
Hi KEITH, There is 1 God in three persons. The Father(Yahweh is the father, the Almighty God), The Son(Jesus is within the Father and does everything that he does, and is at the right hand now), The Only Spirit (is all that is love and just is the very being of Yahweh and Jesus)
1 God in 3 persons, The Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit

And you're welcome.
Goodnight and God bless.
