There are NO instances in God's Word where women are permitted to preach...We women are allowed to teach, but preaching is to have authority over the entire flock of God....and that is not a position in which God ordained for women...There is a reason behind that God's Word says...and it is that Eve was first deceived in the garden and not Adam...God's Word also says that pastors and bishops are to be the man of ONE wife...that in itself excludes women...Women are however spreaders of the gospel...to be instant in season and out of season! Women seeking to gain authority over God's flock has been being sought by the devil since the beginning of time! God's design is that God is the head, Then man, then the wife, then the children, then everyone else in the world...No wherein God's Word does it ever say that women have the right to rule over the husband...in order for a woman to preach, she would have to rule over the husband...But it does state the Wives are to rule over their children and that women are to spread the wonderful news of Christ Jesus to all who will listen! BUT again this is different than being a pastor over God's flock (or the church)!

Dear Jess, the apostles in many places have included the responsibilities of the woman in the church. This being that they are also ministers in a basic way that allows for the function of it (the church). The whole bible story with the doctrines, all have a unique service toward the church and the salvation of mankind. I can remember as a little boy, my grandmothers wearing hats in church. I believe that the reason the bible declares these things is for a specific reason. While we do not see them, Angels have specific responsibilities toward the messages from us to God, and God too us! While we worship in the church , I believe the Angels are able to discern who the woman are from the man, from the wearing of the hat. Pure speculation on my part, this is not in the bible. Being covered in the church also gives special attention unto those worshiping the Lord! We should never underestimate the role of the woman in the church!

I remember when women wore hats in church, also. Probably a good practice since Paul speaks of it. I also remember when women dressed modestly in church and in general. Probably a good practice, also.

Our focus in worship should be on the Lord, not on what is showing in the way women dress. We are our brother's keepers and should be concerned about our effects on others in how we dress and how we serve in church fellowship.

Probably at the point where people as a whole won't go back to these practices, but I think these are better practices considering the culture we live in today.

Can you please provide scriptures to support the following statements you made?

1) 'We women are allowed to teach' - teach who?

2) 'Preaching is to have authority over the entire flock of God'

3) 'Women are however spreaders of the gospel, to be instant in season and out of season' - where does this specify it is directed to women?

4) 'God's design is that God is the head, Then man, then the wife, then the children, then everyone else in the world' - where does it say everyone else in the world come after children in a godly household?

5) 'Women are to spread the wonderful news of Christ Jesus to all who will listen' - where does this specify it is directed to women?
