Please pray for Margaret, my grandmother. She is very sick in the hospital and we can't travel to see her due to flood waters, and also heavy covid restrictions. I've loved my time with my Nanma, and she is very dear to me. Please pray for her healing, and also that Jesus will draw her close to Him that she might have salvation in Christ Jesus. God bless you for your prayers. Blessed be the name of our Lord God, Lord Jesus, forever. Amen. I'll now spend some time in prayer for others on this list also. Peace be with you all.
Alisa, I'm praying for you and your family as you go to be with Nanma today. You may be there now. I pray that God will send the Holy Spirit so that you can talk to her and that She would accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior for sure before she passes from this life.
Please help Nanma tonight Lord. I pray that Your Spirit would be so present in her room that Someone would lead Nanma into a relationship with You. Give Alisa the right words to speak whether in person, or on the phone, or by proxy. Please make a way through the waters for them to get to Nanma. Also comfort her and save her soul Jesus. Please. And let her passing be blessed and peaceful. In Jesus name we pray Amen.
Dear Lord Jesus, encamp around Margaret during this illness and touch her with healing. Help the doctors, nurses, and care staff treat her properly so that she can recover and go home soon. We ask this in Your name Jesus. Amen.
You posted that your grandma is in pallitive care now. Ii hope you will get to see her soon and share Jesus with her.
Dear Lord Jesus, Your will is being done in Nanma's life. We ask that You bring her to salvation at this time. We ask that You cause the flood water to drain away so Alisa, her mom and other family can get to see this grandma very soon. Lord, Namna needs a miracle of salvation more than anything else. Bring this to her promptly, we ask.
Jesus, in Your name we pray for these things, for You alone can save and help in our darkest hour. Amen.
Thank you for your prayers GiGi. May God bless your soul.
We have been told she may only have a few days to live, so my mother and I are planning to go see her tomorrow. The flood waters have gone down enough for us to reach the main roads. Praise be to Jesus.
I was told today that she was confirmed into the Anglican church when she was in her 30's, I'm not entirely sure what that entails, but hopefully she has held onto her faith in Jesus.
I plan to visit and pray with her tomorrow, Lord willing. Thank you again for your prayers and encouragement. Jesus bless you. I've prayed for you also.
To God be the glory. Blessed be the name of our Lord.
To be "confirmed" in the Anglican or other churches means that one has been instructed in biblical beliefs concerning salvation by Jesus. This instruction also entails learning basic beliefs of the Christian faith. Upon completion of these classes one is asked to make to profess faith in God and salvation through Jesus. those who choose to confess are considered confirmed in the faith.
If you grandma was 30, she was at an age to really consider the beliefs taught to her. So, our hope is that she indeed did desire to know about the Christian faith and in so doing, she learned of Jesus and believed.
Did you get a chance to see her or speak with her yet?
My Nanma Margaret passed away peacefully on 6th March.
Our faithful Lord allowed me to see my beloved grandmother twice before she left.
Both my parents were able to see her also, and others from the family. Once we had all seen her, she passed in the very early hours of the next morning. I believe the Lord waited until we had all said our goodbyes.
I felt led to read scriptures to her as she rested, I listed them below. When reading from God's Word, she seemed to stir and try to respond in her frail condition.
Thank you GiGi, for your faithful prayers and well-wishes, and for sharing with me more understanding about being confirmed into the Anglican church. This gives me much comfort and hope for her salvation.
She is already missed. This was the first passing of someone who I was close with, but I have peace about it because I know we loved each other, and I could see God moving throughout my time with her, even til the end.
The scriptures I felt led to read to my Nanma:
Matthew 6:9-13 (KJV)
2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (KJV)
Psalm 23 (KJV)
Isaiah 12:2-5 (KJV)
Ecclesiastes 12:7 (KJV)
God bless you very much GiGi. I let my Nanma know there were people all over the world praying for her (with you and others from this forum in mind). Thank you GiGi. I'm praying for you also.
Alisa, My condolences to you and your family. I am sure God used you to open up Your Grandma's heart. Please know that hearing is the one sense that hangs on to the end, so it is great that You read from Scripture and was there to visit her in her final days. May you be comforted and given peace in this matter. You have been obedient and loving, and that is really what God wants from us in any situation, but especially with those who are in a crisis of life or death, such as your Grandma was facing.
Precious Heavenly Fatherplease save Nanma. IJN
