Last month on the 1st I asked for people to join me in praying for their own country and/or other countries that day. I meant to ask the same thing on March 1st but obviously spaced on it. I would like to invite those who feel led to set aside tomorrow to pray often for your country and/or other countries, especially Ukraine and Russia. I am thankful to hear that over 1 million Ukrainians have gotten out of the country to safety. Thank You, Jesus!. I appreciate any who will partner with me tomorrow. I understand that many here pray for these things often. I just want to not forget! So, for me, setting a date helps. But I do pray often, like others, too. But tomorrow, I will pray as often as I can for my country and other countries God lays on my heart. I hope some of you will join me.
There are more involved here than just the Ukrainians and the Russians. Poland is taking in many of the millions of refugees. We can pray that the Lord increases the availability of places to house these people as well as food, and other resources. We can pray that there will be funding released to provide for these people and a way for people to give to this cause where the money will be properly spent on needed things. We can pray concerning the nuclear power plan that was hit yesterday.
We can also remember Afghanistan and the people that remain there that should have been evacuated last August as well as the Afghani people who are being oppressed by the Taliban.
I was awakened several times last night to pray. I am asking God to stop me throughout the day today to pray as He directs.
I hope you have had a good day. I have and God was faithful in reminding me to be prayerful today as I posted. I try to be everyday, but since I sought partners in prayer, I wanted to be extra faithful.
I was thinking this today. I read in Exodus 14 the account of the Israelite crossing of the Sea. The part that was brough to my mind today was where the Angel of the LORD and the pillar moved to the back of the Israelites to fight the Egyptians. It said that the LORD caused the wheels to come off of the chariots and the Egyptians began to flee back out of the seabed. So, I began praying asking God to cause the Russian machines to malfunction and be ineffective just like He disabled the Egyptian "war machines". That insight helped me in my prayers today.
Prayer is something I need to be better at, Shame on me!
I have been blessed through my prayers, We need to continue in prayer often.
We need to pray for our country and the Church within to serve the purpose God reared us up to do.
Teach us to stay vigilant on what's going on as Russia makes its moves. Pray for wisdom and peace amongst the Brothern so we can remain effective in baring the light we're supposed to. these are dark times and only going to get worse especially with covid and war always a step away amongst the nations. There's quarreling amongst the Church over non virtuous things. We can't influence when the word by which we our faith stands goes out in error.
Let's take heed of Revelation ch 1,2 and 3. and also 1 Peter 4:17. For the time is come that judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God?
