Just want to say hello to Gigi if you're out there somewhere. Haven't seen your posts lately and hope you're doing well.

oops didn't quite finish the thought on my first post to you.

Basically, these doctrines appeal to our sinful pride, arrogance and sense of superiority and lead us into sin.

I believe that we are (and have always been) strictly human in nature. In the resurrection, I believe we will remain by nature human, but our humanity will be made incorruptible and glorified like Jesus' human nature. I also believe that at conversion, we remain humans in nature, but that we are indwelt by God as the Holy Spirit regenerates us and makes us alive to God and resides in us. But His residence within us does not mix with our human nature to become a human divine natured the Son's divine nature. God the Son's divine nature did not mix with Jesus' human nature to become one God/human nature. Though they are united in one person, these natures remained separate and fully pure of the other. Jesus is the only Being in all of creation who is both human and divine. No human or angelic being ever ascended to become divine. But God the Son was incarnated in human flesh. He is unique in this. God humbled Himself and condescended into humanity for the plan of the ages to be fulfilled. Namely, the salvation of humanity.

Adam, I have read most of your posts over the past four months and I think we believe much the same way on many things.

I am glad to have your fellowship on this forum.

    Dear GiGi,

Thank you for sharing that. I'm a little late on my reply. I agree with everything you wrote.

I cringe when I see things posted that aren't in alignment with scripture posted for others to see and possibly be deceived by. It seems like more and more, creative new-agey-type deceptions are coming out. Some of it seems like attempts to repackage and reinterpret scripture to appease the evil woke culture. Doctrine for itching ears just as you said- which apparently was an issue in the early church days too. I don't claim to be an expert on all subjects and want to have humility to admit if I'm wrong in my interpretation of something, but after reading scriptures several times through, the false teachings sometimes jump out and are so obvious, but somehow not to the person spreading the false info. I believe satan is active, loves to deceive everyone, and we must stay in the Word, keep our armor of God on and pray for protection from false teachings.

    God bless you.

Thanks Adam. We are to keep the faith for ourselves and also defend the faith from error. Not everyone is able to do this at this time in their lives, but some are more equipped to do so, as you say. It takes reading the Word and really knowing what is said throughout as well as having been well taught by those God has placed over a person during one's "formative years". so to speak.

Have a good evening, Adam. It is good to have a brother like you here. I am thankful for you.

Again Adam. Thank you for thinking of me. I hate it when we do not hear from people for a while and, like you, are concerned for them. Some have yet to return to this site. Suze has mentioned several, Earl, English Sacha. Others have mentioned Kent Bass. I have mentioned Rick M. and Grace. I hope these people are led to return to this site.

Hi Adam, I am still her and am doing fine. Thank you for being concerned about me. My husband and I started a project last weekend that will take us into April to finish. So, I have been outdoors finishing tasks on that while the weather is good.

Also, I felt the prompting of the Holy Spirit to take a week off from posting. I have been doing research on some ideas that are being repeatedly posted on this site to try to understand these beliefs and Scripture interpretations and narratives better.

We are in a time of great error in the church right now. I think it is wise for me to learn what I can about things that seem way off and to test them against Scripture. I do not wish to be bamboozled by any loose 'scriptural" viewpoint. I have had good training in my life so I tend to get "red flags" about many of the doctrines that are now and have been going around in the church for decades. I don't buy into them as I know that many of them lead to heresy and blasphemy.

I especially do not buy into the idea that we in any way become "little gods" or that Jesus or the Holy Spirit is incarnated in each of us to change us from being human into divine beings. Nor do I buy the line that the Father impregnates us with His spiritual seed to cause a spiritual birth of a little Jesus or Holy Spirit in us or that this impregnation makes us little Jesus' or little Holy Ghosts. I reject the idea that God replicates or multiplies Himself or His nature in any created being as, from my training, God's being is one of a kind and can not be transmitted or communicated to anyone else. If this was so, then God would be creating new gods and contradicting Himself when He says that He alone is God and there are no other gods beside, before, or after Him.

This is doctrine for itching ears and for those who wish to be grander than God has created us to be. Also, many believers have had their sinful desire to be important or elite or above or have rule over others by these heresies.
