How does a Sunday School teacher handle a Pastor who is a narcissist, and practices spiritual and verbal abuse; often slandering other Pastors such as Dr. John MacArthur and Dr. Jeremiah? Please HELP!!!

Hello Dr. Tobin. As with any Church administrative or disciplinary matter, the aggrieved would need to present the problem to the Elders of the Fellowship. Pastors & Elders need to be aware of problems within their congregations & after investigation, deal with it. The account you share, sounds like this Pastor's behaviour is not hidden & probably affects a number of people, including SS teachers. In some Fellowships, a Pastor may refuse to appoint elders, so that he might have full control over all her affairs - so what you share reflects a classic case of this type of Church structure.

Whether the Pastor and/or Elders take the matter to heart & before the Lord, the outcome must be for the health & blessing of the Church. If nothing is done or no changes take place, the only other option is to leave. I would think that there would be an exodus by others as well over a period of time & the Fellowship would suffer both in numbers & spiritual growth. Prayer for the Pastor & the situation would of course be important, but from what you've shared, I would think that many have been praying over this for some time, without any changes observed. No believer who is convicted in spirit of Church malpractice, should feel compelled to remain & suffer in silence, no matter how hopeful they are about any future spiritual revival.
