Little Known Origins of Child Sacrifice - 3 years ago
WHO is Molech or Moloch?
The idol Moloch with seven chambers or chapels. It was believed these statues had seven chambers, one of which was reserved for child sacrifices.
The religion of the Canaanites was a hodgepodge of ancient Semitic faiths. Practiced by the people of the Levant region from at least the early Bronze Age, the cult of Moloch was still active into the first few centuries of the Common Era.
Moloch's name derives from the Hebrew word mlk, which usually stands for melek, or "king." As this is vocalized as molek in the Masoretic text - the authoritative text for Rabbinic Judaism - the pronunciation has become its traditional name.
The Masoretic text dates to the Middle Ages but references to a Molock appear in Ancient Greek translations of old Judaic texts as well. The distinction dates back to the Second Temple period between 516 B.C. and 70 C.E. when the Second Temple of Jerusalem stood prior to its destruction by the Romans.
Moloch's anthropomorphized bull figure was typically pictured in Rabbinic Judaic texts as a bronze statue internally heated by a fire. It was inside this construct that priests or parents placed their children to be consumed by fire as a sacrificial offering.
Ancient Greek and Roman authors wrote tales of this practice, with the earliest being stories of child sacrifices to Baal, or Hammon in Carthage. He was their chief god, responsible for WEATHER and fertile agriculture.
In the Bible, children were sacrificed in a Tophet, a shrine reserved for child sacrifice, outside of Jerusalem to Moloch's satisfaction. While certainly well-documented in religious texts, the historical and archaeological communities still debate Moloch's identity and just how active its cult was.
COMMENT: this was a Canaanite practice; NOT Christian or Jewish. Abortion is child sacrifice, but modern society does not know it as a child sacrifice. It has become a form of birth control.
My dear brother it doesn't really matter whether we see it as a sacrifice or just a killing. Always have in mind that almost everyrhing modern people do is due to the influence of Sin. The king of this world is not God but our enemy ( 2 Corinthians 4:4). God s only king in His children. And the Spirit of God warned us that people of the final days will be the worst of all. ( 2 Timothy 3:1-5). So don't get so much surprised by what you see and hear. World has changed a lot during the last 20 years and we will yet be surprised by the changes we see from now on. I don't think we can do much to change people by our own, yes we can protest and all those things but probably the only efficient thing we can actually do is to talk to people about Jesus Christ and pray they follow Him. World is never going to change for better. After the church goes to Heaven their king will make his appearance and rule them. What people choose, that will get. If they choose Jesus in this life their choice will follow them in the other life , if not...
Its time we children of God make our voice loud, and whoever listens.

I hope I didn't offend you. I follow the work of ACLJ, on abortion lawsuits. Most people do not know abortion has ancient roots. My aim was to enlighten what those ancient roots are. I had followed a story of why it became something that ancient people did. I saw the pictures. The walls that were constructed of tiny caskets. Scientists xrayed the contents and there were tiny skeletons within them; skulls.
The ritual was done on living children. We need to know the origins.
Today it has become a form of birth control. The cost is minimal. The unborn babies are burned with the chemicals used. They have souls because the Bible teaches us that. They are happily in heaven with God.
Why do you think you offended me? I am on your side. Maybe my post was a bit unfortunate. I only wanted to point out that world will get worse in future times and we will see many unusual things happening.
Gigi, Thank you so much for your comment. I hear this voice: My People are destroyed for lack of knowledge. It's true.
I've looked at TIK TOK a few times, and it makes me so sad the things people think are funny. The irreverence and twisting of values. It gives new insight to the story of Lot's wife. Don't look at destruction with humor and curiosity. Keep our eyes forward on Jesus. We will be with Him for eternity.
I have a lost baby in heaven. He has a name, David. I will see him some future day :)
It takes a lot of unselfish love to carry a baby to term and let them bless a childless couple. I do things for an orphanage here, and it grieves me that I'm too old to adopt a child. But I can raise money for their futures and present, but the best would be to give them a family. These are little Baptist kids, raised with Christian values. Thank God they'll meet their Father in heaven soon.

I mean no harm.
Keep up the good work. God bless your effords.
In present day, the altar of sacrifice is sexual sin and people thinking that God should not have the right to create a life from
sexual encounters. Our society's regard for protecting human life has so deteriorated since Roe vs. Wade. We see it in the
senseless killings in gang shootouts and child abuse, abortion being the ultimate child abuse, in my opinion.
ACLJ is a good legal organization that goes to bat for so many causes to right injustice. They are doing the Lord's work in so
many ways. America has had the stain of slavery, which was rightly abandoned. Now we have the stain of abortion, which needs
to be abandoned as well. We are not alone in these matters, as it is a worldwide evil.
I pray that God will lead more pregnant women to give birth to their babies, forgoing abortion in favor of life. I also pray that
many of these women will choose to put their child up for adoption. The rate of infertility in childbearing women increases with
every decade which means there are more and more couples who wish to adopt children. May God lead thee babies to loving
homes and adoptive parents.
