Good day to all here. I would like to ask for prayer for me this week. I have two surgeries scheduled. Tomorrow I will be having carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand. Friday I will have foot surgery to remove bunions on the outside of my big toe and also on the outside of my little toe. I appreciate that people will pray for these surgeries and for my swift recovery with a favorable outcome.

I may not be posting much as my hand recovers. I don't know how much one handed typing I will actually be able to do. But i will be reading and praying for others as I recover. Thanks all.

    Hi GiGi,

Glad to hear that you are back home and recovering. I will pray for a fast and full recovery for you. Typing one handed is not too badyou'll do fine!

    God Bless

Thanks Bro Dan, haven't heard from you for a while. Glad you are back, too. I can type two-handed today, but it is "hunt and peck" still. Feels weird to type this way, so used to typing the "secretarial way", fingers on 'home' keys".

Thank you for your prayers. Actually, I am feeling better than I thought I'd feel. Today, the itching under my bandage is worse than the pain. So, time for Benadryl.

I was just doing some research about angels/humans. Do angels have souls? Are angels created in the image and likeness of God?

    Interesting reads.

    have a good day.

I was going to say a joke but don't want to get flagged. Anyway; I'll be rooting for you to feel better. Rich P

    Thanks Richard,

Sometimes humor helps and is appropriate, but on the web, you are right, we may get flagged for something innocuous being interpreted as out of bounds.

It has been a good day considering surgery was early this morning at 7:30. I am having more pain now that the numbness is worn off. Pain meds help but having breakthrough pain before I can take another dose. I know it will get better from this day.

We will see what Friday brings with my foot surgery.

So, in my pain I pray for those who are in pain and do not have relief like I do. I pray for those who are addicted or mentally ill and cannot help themselves. This puts my pain in perspective as I intercede instead of being more self absorbed.

Hi Gigi, I'm praying for you now and for those doctors and staff helping you. God bless!
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
Thanks Adam, just got home. My hand is very numb now but will wear off in a few hours. Then I will be able to determine the pain level and how to treat that. I appreciate your prayers as I recover this week and go in on Friday for my second surgery.

    Thanks Alex,

Just got home from first surgery. Doing well, but my hand is still very numb. Typing one handed is frustrating. Talk later. Thank you for your kind regards. Have a good day.

May the Lord give you peace in your heart & skill to the surgeons, dear Sister. Remembering you before the Lord during your hospitalization & for a speedy recovery ahead.
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
Thank You Chris surgery went well. Home waiting for the numbness to wear off and go from there on treating the pain. I appreciate your prayers.

Consider it done GiGi, and hang in there!
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
Thanks Jesse, first surgery is done and I am home. Still very numb, but it should subside in a few hours and then I manage the pain while I recover. I appreciate your prayers.

Thank you for your prayer request, Gigi! It's always a joy to stand with brothers and/or sisters in Christ!

May the Lord's healing hand be on every aspect of your surgeries and your recovery, and when all is said and done,

may you have a marvelous testimony of the faithfulness of God to share with all of us!

    Blessings and hugs, dear sister!

Thank you Kay, I am home recovering. My hand is still numb, but that will wear off soon. I hope I won't have too much pain, but we will see. I appreciate your prayers for me this week.

    Hi Gigi,

I just wanted to say you are in my thoughts and prayers, and that you can already feel stronger as the hours go by! :)

Most of all, may you sense, through this whole ordeal, the nearness of the Lord; may He speak encouraging, quickening words to your spirit, and may the Word hold more joy for you than ever! May you be able to look back on this time and rejoice that in spite of the circumstances---it was a blessed time! Amen!

    In Jesus,

    -Kay-

Thank you Kay for the encouragement.

I praise the Lord with and for you, Gigi, that you're home already! You are already, then, on the road to recovery!

The prayers will continue; just pamper yourself a little, and get some rest!

    Blessings, dear sister!

yes, Kay, with 2 surgeries this week, I'll be spending lots of time in my recliner with my hand and foot elevated, But, since both

needed to be done and covid delayed when I could schedule surgery, I wanted to get them done asap and recovery from both

together so that I won't recover from one and then have the other surgery and more time to recover from the second. I have

help at home and hopefully will be up and around in 3-4 weeks.

I am thankful for the prayers and the skill of the doctors. Imagine what people endured in times past before such treatments

    were known.

I just give this time up to God and will see what He does in me as my body heals.

GiGi, our prayers are with you, as well as God's grace.

Don't let one hand typing stop you, I only use one finger.

God bless you as you recover.

Ha ha, that's funny. I will try, but i do not know how much pain meds I'll need to take and I wouldn't to make a biggie of a typo-if you know what I mean. Thank You, Earl.
