I just wanted to reply, the locust didn't have power to kill. Revelation 9:3-6,10, it appears to give them time to repent from evil. Revelation 9:20,21, 2Peter 3:9, "The Lord is not slack concerning His promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but all should come to repentance." 2Peter 3:9-14,
Oh dear brother, Joe!! How many times, as I've heard others share something from the Word of God -I've had Dthe same, "DOH...WHY didn't I see that?" moments! Ha ha!
Or...how many times, as I've read through the Bible, I find verses that I completely forgot were in the Bible..though I've read them many times!!
I agree with many who have said that there are NO 'stupid questions'. Asking is how we grow in wisdom and knowledge...so..it's all good! :)
Be blessed in your pursuit of growing in God's Word, Joe.
From what I understand, the answer is verse 17 b and 18 a, read together:
..."out of their mouths issued fire and smoke and brimstone.
18 By these three was the third part of men killed,"
The 'three', then, are the fire, smoke, and brimstone, which did so much destruction.
Blessings!
