    Hello Chris,

I am so sorry to hear about your kitten. I LOVE cats and fully understand the heartache of losing a furry family member.

The concept of praying in belief is complicated and simultaneously simple. We can have confidence in going to the Lord in prayer. We can have confidence that He hears us, the He loves us and wants what is best for us.

I find there is also a fine line between believing that a prayer will be answered and expecting it to be answered the way we want it to be answered.

The fact is, that sometimes His answer is "No". Then there is the fact that we are in a broken world in imperfect bodies that can and will fail (even kitties). Just because His answer may be No from time to time, does not mean you are praying wrong or that He didn't hear you or that He doesn't exist. It just means that His answer was No at that time. Perhaps your kitty was too far gone, or would have suffered had it remained alive. God loves all of His creation, and grieves with us when we are grieved.

    I hope this helps you!
