Thanks in the past for all the answers in regards to my question. I am still searching through this confusion and it is not God confusing me it is my lack of finding the facts and the truth. I seem to have two different versions of what happens after death and seen this first hand from two different religious organizations on TV. One says one thing and uses the Bible to support it and another uses the Bible as well to say the opposite. So I continue to look finding the right scriptures that will tell me upon death do we go to heaven right away as it tells us once to die and then the judgement. The key word there is Then. Then we have others that say that Christ returns to the sky not to earth and takes his people dead first then Alive to be with him. So, how can our Lord bring the soul from the grave when it left there upon death? That is my question. Finding out the order of things and what is right. Have a good easter.
Hello Rick , b patient and read the whole Bible , from Genesis to Revelation , that way u won't b tempted to cherry pick out verses that support one view or another . Get the whole picture from the whole Bible .
Hi I have read the entire Bible and many parts do not pertain to what happens after death. The Bible intreprets the Bible as we know yet different verses in there seem to play against each other. The question I have asked are not too hard to answer I believe yet if anyone knows the exact answer forward it to me. Let me study it and separate one verse from the other that pertains to the question. When looking at it on the surface it doesn't add up. There is a reason and I will continue to search. Most places just send you a link and let you figure it out themselves. That tells me that they either don't have or know the answer or don't want to be responsible for what they say.
I understand your dilemma & frustration Rick, in not finding the answers that will settle your heart. Indeed, as many sects of Christianity & denominations there are, so are their varied beliefs that are formulated from their study of the Scriptures. The Word of God is clear & sufficient for our knowledge & spiritual growth, yet I sometimes think if, for example, the Apostle Paul could be here to give a more comprehensive understanding of what he has written in his letters. The Christians he was writing to understood the subject & the problems associated with it, but to us two millenia down the road, that correspondence sometimes feels a little short of that 'extra' much-needed information. And this goes for all the writers of the Bible Books. Even then I suppose, the 'Churches' will still find room to re-read the Scriptures to conform to their beliefs.
I'm unsure what Scriptures you have been given to read in the past, concerning human death & the Lord's Coming, but I'm sure as you re-read them prayerfully, indeed all of Scripture, you may get a better understanding of these subjects. If you can hold to a solid base of belief (e.g. does a human spirit remain on Earth or not at the time of death?; when we read of the Lord's Judgements, which one is for those in Christ & which one for the unsaved?), you can slowly & carefully build upon them. The biggest mistake many make, is to find one Scripture & construct a whole doctrine from it; rightly dividing the whole Word & then coming to an understanding of how things fit together will give you a satisfaction & peace as well as an openness to appreciate what another person might also believe on that subject. May the Lord guide you to His Truth.
