WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE SAINTS JUDGE THE WORLD?

1 Corinthians 6:2 Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world?

1 Corinthians 6:3 Know ye not that we (the saints) shall judge angles?

Psalms 149:9 To execute upon them (the world) the judgement written: This honour hath all his saints ......

Revelation 2:26 And he (the saint) that overcometh and keepeth MY WORKS unto the end, to him (the saint) will I give power over the nations.

Revelation 2:27 And he (the saint) shall rule them (the world) with a rod of iron; as the vessels of a potter shall they be broken to shivers; even as I received of my Father.

Psalms 2:8 Ask of me (the Father) and I (the Father) shall give thee (Christ) the heathen (the world) for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the world for thy (Christ) possession.

Psalms 2:9 Thou shall break them with a rod of iron; thou shall dash them in pieces as a potter's vessel.

Psalms 2:10 Be wise therefore, O ye kings (the saints): be ye instructed, ye JUDGES (the saints) of the earth.

Revelation 3:9 Behold, I WILL MAKE THEM (the world), which are of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are JEWS ( they say they are born again of the word of God) and are not; but do lie, Behold I WILL MAKE THEM to come and worship before thy feet, and TO KNOW that I have loved you.

1 Corinthians 4:21 What will ye? Shall I come to you with a ROD, or in love with the spirit of meekness?

Isaiah 26:9 .....when thy judgements (of the saints) are in the earth, the inhabitants or the world WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS ......

    God bless you!

    Dear Earl,

I am aware of these Scriptures. I leave it up to Jesus to determine what this will entail. But for me, I don't dwell on ruling over

anyone, but instead seek to follow Christ's example and words from Luke 22:25-27; John 13:1-17 and elsewhere where our

Lord instructs His followers to be servants, not rulers and to follow His example (washing their feet) and that those who wish to

be great in the kingdom must be the servant of all. So, I do not glory in the designation of believers being "kings and priests of

the Most High" as the King of Kings was humble and a willing servant. That is what I want my attitude to do.

I just think that those who desire to rule over angels and others have an unhealthy and devilish attitude.

Dear Gigi , do u find these scriptures unhealthy or devilish ; Rev Ch 1 V 6 , Rev Ch 5 V 10 or Rev Ch 20 V 4 ? I feel sure that u don't . I don't know much about u but I think maybe u r one of many people who believe that after we die we r judged and then either go to heaven or hell , forgive me please if I am wrong about that . When I was young I thought that way because I had been told by people who I thought must know better than me . Once I read the Bible for myself I discovered that that's not the case . It's hard sometimes to cast off old beliefs , I understand that . May God bless you and your studies of His Word .

Dear Grae, I did make mention of us being kings and priests to God Most High. So, I do not get your point here.

I just pointed out that Jesus showed by his humility and servant attitude what type of kings and priests we will be in the coming age.

I am not one to speak definitively about what this life will be like, that is why I said that I am content to leave that knowledge to the counsel of God. I trust that Jesus will give us all that has been promised to us and that He will prepare us for that life according to His wisdom.

As to what I believe about what happens when we die, I really cannot say I am sure of any position, as I see Scriptural support for the various ones spoken in recent posts on this topic.

And lastly, you do not know me or what I have been taught or have learned along my spiritual path with our Lord, as I do not know you in this way, either. So, it is best to not assume about others, but to speak to what people have actually written.

Grae, thank you for contacting me. I hope I have addressed what you were seeking to know of me.

Dear Gigi , I object to no one's honest opinions on here , this is a place of open and Frank discussion . The only thing I object to is that inflammatory language such as ' unhealthy and devilish attitude ' . Please remember that most of the time on here we are all either commited Christians or people wanting to learn more about the Bible . When we knowingly insult each other it is the same as insulting Christ himself , we shouldn't do it and I know enough about u to know that in hindsight u probably regret the words u used because u r a Christian lady .

    Grae,

I understand your point of view here. God bless.

We will be serving God , teaching and instructing in the same way that those seventy were chosen to help Moses remember ? Moses is a type of Christ and we will be his helpers in the way that those seventy helped Moses . The humans that are left will look up to us as teachers , helping them to stay on the right path and giving judgements . We will be servants , servants of God and actually servants of the humans also because we will be helping them to learn the Truth . This is all explained in the Bible .
  • ELB - In Reply - 2 years ago
Amen Sister Suze, Christ said he was sent to be a servant to CREATION.

Is't it wonderful that he is our LIFE and does EVERYTHING FOR US and we do nothing of ourselves.

When we depart this flesh, we will put on CHRIST (life and truth) and also be a servant to creation.

    God Bless You!

Yes ELB , I happen to be reading Romans at this time Ch 7 V 14 - 25 and continuing into Ch 8 . In Ch 7 Paul says ' For I know that in me dwelleth no good thing ' if Paul can say this then how much more readily should we confess this ! V 25 of Ch 7 : I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord . So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God ; but with the flesh the law of sin . Ch 8 V 5 - 8 : For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh ; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit . For to be carnally minded is death ; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace . Because the carnal mind is enmity against God : for it is not subject to the law of God , neither indeed can be . So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God . Romans Ch 7&8 ,two awesome chapters . The law of God being love , peace and obedience . Love God , love each other , seek peace within ourselves through Christ , seek peace with others because we love Christ and obey God . Much love in Christ .
  • GiGi - In Reply - 2 years ago
yes, Suze, we will be serving others and God.

GiGi, I don't think you understand:

1 Peter 4:17 For the time is come (the day of the Lord, when man can be created in the IMAGE OF CHRIST) that judgement must began at the house of the Lord (YOU and I and all God's creation is the HOUSE OF THE LORD)....

Hebrews 3:6 But Christ a son over his own house; whose house we are (the temple of God) ....

Remember Christ drove the money changers out of the TEMPLE with a WHIP.

All creation is God's temple and God is going to CLEANSE HIS TEMPLE.

Christ was INSIDE that temple made with hands when he drove out the unsavory.

Christ (in the form of the Holy Ghost) is still inside the TEMPLE MADE WITHOUT HANDS (CREATION), along with those that have come to truth that they also will be the exactness of Christ, in the form of the Holy Ghost) bring man into TRUTH, that you are the image of God.

Paul, Peter, and everyone that has left their body of flesh and become one with God; and God is Spirit, are now in MEN, judging the world.

Proverbs 16:6 By MERCY and TRUTH (God is mercy and truth, so are the saints that are judging the world

with Christ, as ministering spirits) INIQUITY IS PURGED .....

Psalms 104:4 Whom maketh his angels (ministering) spirits, his ministers a flame of FIRE.

Hebrews 12:29 For our God (God is Spirit) is a consuming fire.

    God Bless You!

    Good morning Earl.

I do understand these Scriptures, I just wanted to make the point that ruling and judging others is often interpreted in the

worldly way, but in reality, Jesus instructed us to be humble and not desire to be great or to "lord" over others, but with humility

and in service to others and God.

I do not believe that Jesus is in all of creation like you stated, that is known as pantheism or perhaps panentheism (which is part

of Eastern Mysticism and other pagan religions.) I also do not think that we will be with God, or, become the Holy Spirit or

Jesus as you seem to imply. We are united to God through Jesus, and Jesus did pray for His disciples to be united or of "one

mind" in His last supper discourse, but this is not referring to a melding or mixing of humanity with God (which, again, is

Eastern Mysticism, pagan teaching). We will always be human and God will glorify our humanity in resurrected bodies, but we

will never be deified, be the "exactness of Christ" for He is both God and man. We will be like the perfected humanity of Jesus,

but not like His divinity. Such a belief that we become deified is blasphemous, since God has said that He alone is God and there

    is no other beside Him.

So, Earl, once again, you are assuming that I am ignorant of what these verse teach, though the reality is that I just don't align

myself with your theology. It is good to have you back posting, but some of what you post is very incorrect, in my opinion.

Therefore we will not have a "meeting of the minds" on the points I mentioned. Have a good day and I pray for God to bless

    you richly.

Sister GiGi, you said you don't believe that God is in all men.

Job 12 :10 In whose hand is the soul of every living thing, and the breath of mankind.

Job 33:4 The Spirit of God hath made me, and the breath of the Almighty hath given me Life.

    Job 34:14 If he set his heart upon man, if he gather unto himself his Spirit and his breath;

Job 34:15 All flesh shall perish together, and man shall turn again into dust.

GOD IS LIFE, and man sets in darkness having no knowledge of TRUTH.

    God is Spirit,

    God is Life.

Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God.

You (sinful flesh) don't exist, you (sinful flesh) died on the cross and Christ gave you HIS LIFE.

You believe in the trinity, that Father, Son and the Holy Ghost are ONE (GOD):

BUT you DON'T BELIEVE that you are ONE (GOD) with them.

John 17:21 That they ALL may be ONE; as thou Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be ONE in us ......

Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and UNBELIEVING ...shall have their part in the lake that burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

    God Bless You!

    Dear Earl,

Correct, I do not believe that creation, including mankind is "one" with God. It is true that due to Christ's sacrifice, believers are united with God. This union is one of fellowship not of substance.

God is transcendent, which means that He is apart from and independent of all creation, including mankind..

God is also everywhere present, but this does not mean that He is in all things or that what He has created is part of God. He is Spirit, creation is made of matter, therefore material.

God is immutable, He does not change who He is essentially. Creation is in constant change, including mankind, so what He created cannot be part of God or (in man's case) be God. To be so, God would have a nature that changes. Which contradicts Scripture.

This is my thinking on this matter. Hope this explains things.
  • ELB - In Reply - 2 years ago
Sister GiGi, you are correct when you said God is spirit.

Ephesians 4:4 There is ONE body, and ONE Spirit .....

Ephesians 4:6 One God, and Father of all, who is above all, and through you all, and IN YOU ALL.

WE do not have LIFE apart from God.

LIFE can't be seen because it is Spirit, and no one has seen God.

John 14:6 .....I am LIFE and TRUTH .....

What is the only thing left when we PUT OFF THIS BODY of flesh.

    SPIRIT, which is LIFE.

John 3:6 That which is born of flesh (man) is flesh (man); and that which is born of SPIRIT (GOD) is SPIRIT (God).

GOD is LIFE, FAITH, TRUTH, MERCY, WISDOM, COUNSEL, UNDERSTANDING, ETC.

Luke 16:4 The disciple is not above his master: but everyone that is PERFECT WILL BE AS HIS MASTER.

You are made PERFECT when you depart this body of flesh, because the only thing that is left is LIFE AND TRUTH.

1 Timothy 6:16 Who (the MASTER) ONLY hath immortality, dwelling in the light which no man can approach unto .....

1 Corinthians 15:53 ......this mortal shall PUT ON IMMORTALITY ......

Only Christ has IMMORTALITY, only Christ is LIFE, DWELLING in the LIGHT.

Psalms 82:6 I have said, Ye are gods; and ALL OF YOU are the children of the most high.

    God Bless You!

    Happy Resurrection Day, Earl.

Thanks for your reply. I just don't concur with your analysis. Jesus resurrected in a physical body, and I believe we will also be resurrected in a physical body, but one that cannot be corrupted or die. Our body will be glorified like Jesus' is in heaven and He said He will return in the same way as he ascended, bodily.

We do not yet know what these bodies will be like, but we will not be disembodied spirits, nor gods.

I realize that we will not come to agreement on this topic. Even so, I wish you a happy day in the Lord today.
