    It is good to isolate one's self for a period of time to hear the voice of God. There are times where we have so many distractions in our lives. We have people in our ear and heads telling us what they would do and how it needs to be done. We as people (some, not all) will listen to friends and family who does not have a relationship with God but because their life seems smooth it must be law. Lean not unto your own understanding and in all of your ways acknowledge God, and he will direct your path. This is where we go wrong by not listening to God's words. I myself am guilty of this and ask God to move me out of the way.
