From a Google search, Matthew Henry was born in 1662 in Wales & died in 1714 in England. He was a Presbyterian minister (becoming one in 1687), & involved in many other speaking engagements in the U.K. In spite of sickness, he continued to travel to meet his commitments, until one day he was thrown off his horse & later died of apoplexy (rupturing of internal organs, bleeding, & then a stroke). He is of course, best known for his six-volume Exposition of the Old & New Testaments. However, he died before completing his final volume; with some thirteen other ministers taking on the task (from Romans to Revelation) to finish it, gaining the information primarily from notes written down by Matthew's many audiences.
