Dear brothers and sisters , it seems very likely that my mum and step dad will die this year . They both have very serious chest problems , my step dad had pulmonary fibrosis which can't be cured , he is still smoking , his doctors have told him that at this stage it won't make any difference if he stops . My mum has C. O. P. D. very badly , if she had stopped smoking when first diagnosed she could have lived a lot longer (God willing) but she didn't . Last year she almost died of a chest infection , she has another one now . The potential for them both to have extremely distressing deaths is very high . I would ask please , that when it is time for them to die that they might both pass peacefully . If it is Your will Dear Heavenly Father .
Yes Lord, please answer these requests. Touch these and do miracles. Don't let them suffer. I pray that they would draw near to You until then. You ARE able to exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or even think to ask. Be merciful Father God, in Jesus name I pray. Amen
Dear Suze, I so understand your situation. We both are at the age where we know our parents will die at some point and realize that we cannot expect many more years with them. We entrust them into God's hands and pray that they will not suffer in these last days, weeks, months of their life and have a peaceful, pain-free death.
I will pray for both of your loved ones. My mom is in the hospital now, so I will pray for yours when I pray for my mom.
Dear heavenly Father, we lay our Moms and Suze's step father in your loving care in these the days your have given them to live in this life. Aid them in their illnesses and reduce their pain and discomfort. Even more so, we pray for each of them to draw nearer to You than ever and know Your love, forgiveness, and grace even more as they trust in You and your Son, Jesus, for salvation and eternal life. Despite the illnesses Suze's loved ones have, We ask that You help them in breathing. We ask that You strengthen Suze as she faces this coming year. We ask these things of You in the name of Your Son, Jesus.
Hi Gigi , I hope that your mom is doing better , mine is in hospital but I'm optimistic for her recovery . However when some one has a lot of serious ailments things can change quickly . If there are any smokers reading this , let me tell you that dying slowly of a smoking related illness is not at all fun . If I could introduce you to my mom and stepdad you would never smoke again . Please try very hard to stop , it's hard to watch people you care about slowly suffocate . Thanks for your kindness Gigi and love to all my family in Christ .
Yes, so true of smoking. Both my parents were long time smokers. My dad died at 62 from one heart attack. Mom stopped smoking in her mid 70's after a hospital stay for a ruptured ulcer. If not for that, she would have continued smoking until she died from it, too.
Sepsis is a long-haul illness. So we do not know if she will even recover at all. It could easily take her in the process of treatment.
I will pray for your Mom as well.
Thanks for coming alongside in this time for me. I do the same for you in this time for you concerning your Mom and step-dad.

How are your parents doing this week?
