    This sounds much like when Uzzah touched the Ark of the Covenant and immediately died in the Old Testament. Jesus IS the New Covenant manifest as well as the Most Holy of Holies in the flesh at this point. He is to remain Pure in His Translation to Greater Glory ("I have glorified Him, and will Glorify Him again!" as to remain separated out physically from they who by nature are separated innately (living 'in sin' - on earth) by virtue of the flesh itself.“Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to My Father and your Father, to My God and your God.’” It might also be important that at this stage they had not yet received God's Holy Spirit
