Hello, Diane, the Scriptures in Genesis 3 state that Adam fathered Cain.
Many people nowadays are perpetuate the "serpent seed" false doctrine that Satan fathered Cain. But to do this, one has to read more into the text than is intended.
Adam knew Eve and she conceived and brought forth as son, Cain. Simple cause and effect. Been happening this way since the dawn of man.
Matthew 5:48, Matthew 6, Matthew 7, Matthew 12:50,
Jesus went even further to say: Matthew 23:9,
