Kathy, that is a very good question. I do not know of a Scripture verse that speaks to this. But i do think that when we get to heaven we will understand more fully how right and just God's judgments are for each individual person. We may be aware that one we loved is not in heaven with us. Rather, they are spending eternity in hell. However, I think when we realize how wonderful our God is we will understand and agree that those who rejected Him just cannot be with Him for eternity and that God indeed does what He has told us He will do. He is true to His Word, promises to those who believe, and proclamations of judgment upon all who refuse to believe in Him.

Our God is the most necessary, valuable, and desirable Being for any of us. Without Him we would not be. For those who have rejected Him, eternal separation from Him is the deepest grief and suffering one can ever experience. But, Hallelujah, to those who are reconciled to Him, He is the greatest treasure and pleasure we could ever know. He is worthy of all of our love, devotion, and praise! In this life, we who believe have a foretaste of Him, but in heaven we will be completely satiated and satisfied in Him.
