God wants every day holy not just the sabbath...Every day is the Sabbath Day under the new Covenant....We must abide in him every day. As Jesus said the branches have to abide in the VINE everyday or the branches will wilt and DIE..This New Covenant is an every day covenant...24/7 every day and all day long its a marriage with Christ Jesus....His disciples followed him every day not 1 day a week...The sabbath was fine in the O.T. But under this New Covenant its a marriage, Everyday is the sabbath under the new covenant...When Jesus said abide in me in me and i in you means a marriage 24/7 forever....Thats y he was telling them the branches have to abide in the vine 24/7 or they will wither and die....I am the true Vine and you are the Branches....Thus he has to know us thats when the good seed is sown in our hearts resulting in a birth of a baby Christ in us and that which is born of the spirit is spirit which is the Child of Promise the H.G..

......Thats y the woman is giving birth in Rev 12 : 5 kjv....She was impregnated by his seed the words of the lord...That New Covenant...A birthing Covenant...you must be bornagain of an i incoruptible seed etc....The Child is the H.G THE CHILD OF PROMISE.

.....Whosoever receiveth one such child in my name receiveth me....In my name implies he is the Father of the H.G...The Child of Promise . An Israel of GOD....

......That Woman in Rev 12 is a perfect picture of what the good seed will accomplish...And thats y he has to know us all as Isaiah said knowledge shall cover the Earth as the waters cover the seas...Meaning he is gona KNOW us ALL...Thus the babes and sucklings he mentions....Unless ya receive the Kingdom of GOD AS A LIL child you will in no wise enter there in.

Amen Brother And we know it all started in Acts 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. praise the Lord For his Salvation plan

I agree with you that every day should be Holy to Christians, and we should try to walk with Christ each day of our lives.

Please keep in mind that the Sabbath is a GIFT that God gave mankind to show us that he loves us and cares for us. The 7th day Sabbath is primarily for mankind to rest our MIND and BODY, and to reflect on our blessings and have the time to really give thanks, without all of the worldly disruptions. It's a special day, to take a much needed break from our work, and the stress of living in this hectic world. God created us, and he knows our body and mind better than anyone - He created us. You can trust Him!

Mark 2:27

"And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath:"

GOD ordained that the Sabbath should be a blessing, and not a burden! I don't understand why so many Christian's today take this Commandment to be a burden.

Hebrews 4:9

"There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God."

Hebrews 4:10

"For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his."

So, God gave his people (Christian's a time to rest) a gift, that we should accept and use. This Sabbath is a gift from GOD, and not dissimilar to the gift that God gave us for Salvation. Why would Christian's accept "the gift of salvation" but not "the gift of the 7th Day Sabbath??? Both come directly from God!

Bro. Dan good post but lets remember we are not under the law....The New Covenant trumps the Old Covenant...If ya read Isaiah 1 ..God tells Israel their feast days and their sabbaths days and their solome assemblies were an abomination to him....Their hands were full of blood etc.....Their hearts were not right before God...Thus their Sabbaths and their Solome Assemblies and all their Incence burning was an abomination to him....Your new moons and your appointed feasts my Soul Hateth .. Isaiah 1 : 11 ...Thats y God wanted anew covenant...All these works did not change their hearts....Thus the need for a new Covenant a new Birth of CHRIST IN US THE SON OF MAN....But under this New Covenant a day is a 1000 yrs as Peter tells us.....Thus that day of rest is a 1000 yr day when Christ will reign on the Earth and his KINGDOM will be in our hearts...That 7 th millennium....That Heavenly Sabbath...As Isaiah saw the whole world at REST and full of his GLORY.... Isaiah 14 : 7 kjv...Our rest is in Christ
