I'm having all kinds of warfare. That usually means I did something to really torque the devil :D
My sister said she is dying. Organs failing. I'm fighting back. She's too young; has too many reasons to live. She and my sister-in-law are both lifelong opioid abusers. I told her God will forgive her and restore the years the cankerworm ate up, but she never came over to THE WORD side of belief. Maybe she's just tired? I told her that if she will repent, stop self-medicating, her body can start healing.
She's been a good Baptist all of her life. She knows I walked the wild side 35yrs. Saw Jesus for 10 seconds and fell deeply deeply in love. Even more as I ate of His Word hand over fist for 36 years, and counting.
I've been praying for her. You pray for me please. I'm going to call her and lead her to accept the Lord of the Bible. She's always thought being Baptist was enough. This really hurts. I will not let her go into the night without her Light. Just pray she says, yes.
Mishael, so sorry to hear this news about your sister and sister in law. I will pray for them tonight.
Dear Heavenly Father, Take Mishael's sister and help her in this illness that is causing her organs to fail. Cause her to ask Mishael about salvation. Give Mishael the best words to share with her. Guide him through this situation with his sister. Also, please intervene and help both this sister and sister in law be delivered from abusing opioids. Take away the addiction and begin to heal their bodies and redeem them. They are in desperate need and only You can fulfill their greatest needs and every other need in between what they need the most in You and their smallest needs. Father, there is no one like You, no one. And thankfully, You are so good and great in power to deliver and save anyone! We entrust these two women into Your loving will int he name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.
May God bless your efforts , you can't go wrong when you do things in love , trust in God's love , for you and for her , He is merciful to all , sometimes all you can do is bring a bit of love into someone's life , you may not be able to bring her all the way but if you can just show her how much you and God love her this will hopefully calm her fears and you will be glorifying God through the love that you show her . My folks are dying and scared to do so , I know they don't want to hear the Truth so I just go there , do odd jobs , try to make them smile and bring some warmth and affection to them both . Neither of them have been very nice to me since I was a child and they have guilt over the way they treated me , so I've told them that it's all a million years ago and they are not to think about it , I forgive them and love them , I've moved on and they can too , that seemed to cheer them up a bit . We are none of us perfect and we may have hurt others badly without even realising it , love conquers all , I know you will do and say the right things to be a comfort to your sister , you are a kindly soul Mishael , God loves you very much , so do I . Be not soon shaken ! Much love in Christ .
God help us get through this part. Love covers a multitude of failures. I've always loved my sister no matter what. She lost a son to a firey 18 wheeler crash. He was driving a 2nd shift for a drunk partner driver. He was like my son. He was a Christian and died instantly.
