Wow, be careful with some of the advice you got from others here.

    We are not Israel.

People sending you, a Gentile, to scriptures from the Old Testament that are written to Israel is wrong.

You should be looking for your information in the Bible from your Apostle Paul.

Jesus sent Paul to the Gentiles.

Jesus was sent to Israel during his earthly ministry because he says so.

We live in the age of grace, according to our Apostle Paul.

The unforgiveable sin is not active today because the Holy Spirit is NOT working outwardly today like he was in the Acts period.

Have you seen anyone struck dead lately for fudging on their finances?

    Suicide is a bad thing.

Of-course it's not what God wants.

Paul tells us God would have ALL MEN to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

    Suicide stops this process.

Paul teaches salvation is secure because we are sealed by the Holy Spirit after believing the gospel of grace I Cro 15:1-4.

The same Spirit that seals us as part of the body of Christ Eph 1:13-14.

Suicide keeps us from fulfilling God's purpose for Christians today but NOTHING can remove us from the body of Christ.

Sure you can find verses OUTSIDE of Paul's books that would teach differently.

Paul is our Apostle today in the age of grace.

There is no question that an unsaved person that commits suicide had sealed their fate.

When a Christian to commits suicide, they loose their opportunity to live a life pleasing to God.

They loose the opportunity to use God's building materials of Gold, Silver and Precious stones. I Cor 3.

BUT, they cannot loose their salvation.

    Brother Steve;

The word of God is about the KINGDOM OF GOD, not heaven or hell.

Acts 28:22 And when they had appointed him (PAUL, who penned a great deal of the New Testament) a day, there came many unto him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified THE KINGDOM OF GOD, persuading them of Jesus, both out of the LAW OF MOSES, and out or the PROPHETS, morning till evening.

Acts 28:30 And Paul dwelt two whole years.

Luke 16:31 And he said unto them, If they hear not MOSES and the PROPHETS, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.

Luke 24:45 Then he opened their understanding, (the Holy Ghost is doing the same thing TODAY) that they might understand the SCRIPTURES (Mosses and the PROPHETS) the writings of the new testament DID NOT EXIST.

Christ came to FULFILL the LAW and THE PROPHETS, it's of great necessity to understand MOSSES and those PROPHETS, to understand the KINGDOM OF GOD.

    God Bless YOU.

Read the story of Samson and Delilah in Book of Judges. He committed suicide and took all those who had hurt him, with him.

It's not an option to life that hurts us. We are always To Pray. Give your life to God, fully. Then see what God does with your life. Through the good and the bad times. God is trustworthy. It took our efforts to be in a place of wanting to just give up. That's when we shove God aside, and "do it our way." Look at how Samsons results happened. I think he's mentioned in Hebrews 11. Let's all go search that.

Blessings on you. Peace and be still. Allow God to write the end of your story.

    Hello Sandra,

It doesn't directly say that. Most infer that. Suicide is sin and is destroying a precious life that God created. It's going against God's will in a big way. God is the judge. People who perceive no way out or various emotions are subject to change and often are not reliable indicators. Many who attempt it and fail are later glad it failed, because it helped create a paradigm shift in their thinking and appreciation for what they have.

I personally don't believe someone whose death is immiment and is suffering and comotose that pulling the plug on artificial life support is necessarily a sin, but something all family must have consensus on.

There's another discussion about the suicide I saw from just today or yesterday if you scroll down.

It does not say it directly. But It also does in a way.Because What is sin? So if you keep the Commandments it says "Thou shalt not kill"

So in closing, not keeping the Commandments may send you to hell. in the meanwhile go read Ecclesiastes 7:17 also Check out Jeremiah 29:11.

Yes. Suicide = not enjoying life. God haves us a life to enjoy it.
  • Samantha - In Reply - 2 years ago
You're technically hating your life if you kill yourself. God gave you a life to enjoy 80-100 years of life.

Good evening Sandra, God bless you and your family. My name is Ricardo, your question is a common question but it is stated differently. It's usually, what is the unforgivable sin? The unforgivable sin is a question that leads to more questions and bigger questions about faith, truth and belief i'll start off with a little at a time but all is coming from the Bible so don't believe what I write but believe the Bible.

    The unforgivable sin?

"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." Matthew 12:31 KJV

The belief that we are the temple of the Holy Ghost?

"What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?" 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV
