    Texsis,

There are a number of people on here who are parents of children who have gone astray from God. I am one of them. It is hard to see this happen and we so desire for them to return to God and repent towards belief again. I am so glad that your son has turned from following the devil and has repented. That is very wonderful. I continue to pray and wait for my three sons to do this. I will pray for your son tonight.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up Texsis' son tonight and ask that You cause him to seek you heartily and begin to hunger for Your words of life in Scripture. I ask You to take away every speck of devilish influence from him and fill him to overflowing with your Holy Spirit. I ask that You will increase his faith and trust in You and Your Son, Jesus. I ask that You will create him to be a strong, devoted, Christian believer who never strays from You again and is used of You to share the gospel of Jesus with others. I ask that You will bring him to ask questions of his Mom concerning spiritual matters so that he can learn more about You and Your ways. I ask these of You, Father, in the name of Your Son, Jesus, Amen.

Thank you so much for the prayer I greatly appreciate it and I know He will listen. Just so you know, I had been praying for my son for yrs. and a few months before he repented he asked me "why do you always bring up the bible or Jesus every time we talk, can't we just have a normal conversation mom". So we did for the next few calls, though it was hard not to bring up Christ, and as soon as I would get off the phone I'd fall to my knees and ask God to take over. So I left it up to Him from then on. It always gets the hardest before the healing begins I'm told. So I learned then to let go and let God! Keep praying for your loved ones every day and have everyone you know pray for them and believe with all your heart that God will do the rest.!

Agreed, We do need to trust that God is always at work in the lives of our loved ones gone astray and believe that He loves them more than we ever could. Also, we can know that He hears our prayers and will answer them in His timing. We are to be faithful in prayer and use every opportunity to be with our kids to enjoy each other's company, support each other, and build relationship. God works in and through these encounters.
