I would like to know if woman pastors are living in sin
  • Opinion8it - In Reply on 1 Corinthians 14 - 2 years ago
Anyone who has an active relationship with God has been saved from the sting of sin. No believer "lives in sin". God can speak through anything and anyone he pleases-- he spoke through a burning bush, and he even spoke through a donkey. Does this pastor display the fruits of the spirit? Are people at her church accepting Christ as their Lord and savior? If so, you have your answer. Hint: Satan does not compel people to Christ. We can judge the works and deeds of someone and determine whether their works or deeds are good or evil, but only God will render the judgement of the soul.

Dear Gaynell Smith on 1 Corinthians 14, you have received so many nice answers here. What do we define by sinning? It is easy if there is something we see. But Jesus mentions the scribes and the Pharisees many times. As a pointer to where we should look not just once but twice. (We've been given two eyes, haven't we, two ears. And fortunately only one mouth. If there were two of them, we'd be constantly talking into each other's mouths, smileys). Why did He warn us about these people?

2 Corintihans 3:6 Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.

What does it say in Exodus 20:17 Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.

Lord Jesus: Matthew 18:9 And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire.

When it is so important and not See error? According to Jesus and the Holy Scriptures. So when we feel envy, longing, greed, etc. WE MUST ALWAYS be satisfied with what we have, the life we live, everything that belongs to it, is put there for a reason: Because you as a Christian can help people repent from dead works to faith in the Living God Jesus Christ.

Don't look at other people, how they are dressed, how many nice things they have mm

Ephesians 2:1 And you hath he quickened, who were dead in trespasses and sins; 2 Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience: 3 Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others. Dear Gaynell.

No one can claim that he/she has an instruction from God that is different from His written Word. If he/she does then it is fake. Does God contradict Himself? The rule that we can compare what is true or fake is the written Word of God, otherwise why read the Bible since for me there may be something different? If someone doesn't know God's instructions then he/she is innocent, but if he/she does ....! They are going to hear that He doesn't know them. But we made miracles, casted out demons, prophesied in Your Name.... Entrance to the Marriage closed. Disobedience to God's Word is a sin and if one doesn't repent and correct his way ...

Since many bros/sis pick verses from the Bible that claim that are for women being pastors, because they are referring to ALL disciples (and that is true) lets use an example from Maths, for one who remembers a few things from school.

Suppose an unknown no. is given represented by 'x'. We are given two conditions for it. The first says 'x' can be any no. from 1-10. The second condition limits the possible values of 'x' to 8-10. Can someone say that 'x' can be, say, 4 because this value satisfies the first condition? No, because the 2nd condition says from 8-10. Now let's go to the verses like Acts 2:17 and many other in the OT and NT. It seems then that 'x' = men and women, so women can be also pastors. But there are other verses/conditions like 1 Timothy 2:15, 1 Cor 14;35, as well as other given by brothers that limit the possible answer. Then its becomes obvious that the only solution that satisfies all verses/'conditions is 'x'=men, isn't it so?

Finally its not right trying to go around verses by using logical thinkiing. "Well, you know, it was an old fashioned world, women sat on the balcony etc". Yes that's true, but does this give me the authority to change the Bible? Take God's position as Lawmaker? Haven't thas sort of things alter the christian church that has become in many aspects unrecognisable nowadays? Some things in the Bible are straightforward, just take them as they are, not arguing but asking God to explain. Assume Apostole Paul suddenly appeared in front of us now. Who would dare and have the courage to argue and disagree with him because he would think that Paul was old fashioned? Any volunteers? Certainly not me.

    Blessings to All

Add nor takeaway from the word of God. There is no written word of God where a women was ever to be over a man. A pastor is in a position of authority. I will believe what the bible say's and let women keep silent in authority with all subjection .You know what subjection mean's it don't mean dominion.1C 11:3-4 is the stairsteps of dominion .Our churches is out of order with the women's liberation movement defiled the church of God. It is now a perverted and backward doctrine. I will never be under a woman pastor. That is my conviction and I will die with it and you are no one will change me 1+1= two . End of story Thanks

If a woman has the power and the call of God on their life to pastor or preach the gospel then no one can say any different. I believe in women carrying the gospel in many different ways. For God said in Act 2:17 And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams:"

Act 2:18And on my servants and on my handmaidens I will pour out in those days of my Spirit; and they shall prophesy:" Notice God said I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh this included woman. A question who cared the first massage after Jesus was resurrected from the died "Mary" Love and grace to God stay prayed up and ready to go up. Cowboy

I suppose you are familiar with Paul's teaching on the subject ( 1 Tim. 2:12; 1 Cor. 14:35). In the sense that any disobedience to instructions in the Word is sin; I would say yes to that subject.

The more important thing to note; is the overwhelming number of women who hold that position end up having terrible doctrine; which exposes the root of the problem ( 1 Sam. 15:23). It is interesting noting Saul as He tried his own hand at offering a sacrifice; which was not for him but the priest to do back in chapter 13. He then tried to save the cattle for the priests to sacrifice but disobeyed the command. The attitude of rebellion tends to be in a "me" centered focus of many of today's female prosperity preachers. There are others who call themselves apostles (I'll leave namas out of it) who may be very attractive but are suspect at best as to having valid gifts.

There also can be the possibility (although I am unaware of any) that a woman who is genuinely gifted is attempting something in a type of ministry she is called to do elsewhere. There are brilliant authors out there who write about end times; spiritual warfare and other topics. There are women who undoubtably are gifted at teaching and will be a blessing ministering to other women or children. Also of course there is edifying the Body of Christ; as Paul mentioned in Corinthians in regard to women praying and prophesying (but with proper head covering). There are; of course many women mentioned by Paul himself who were a blessing to him; as well as the Lord Himself sometimes being the most faithful until the end.

Also; hypothetically; there could be a case where no men appear to be qualified for the job. Of course if it is all or mostly women; they could have their own fellowship. We need to trust God's ways when it comes to ministry; and that He will send someone in His timing. There seems to be no problem with individuals meeting and men and women participating in discussion.

According to the Bible Scripture, 1 Tim. 2:11-15, 1 Tim. 3:1-5. Women can minister but not Pastor a church. God ordained a man to do that.

in the new testament, Paul wrote letters addressed to "Lidia" and "Mary", as leading disciples. Judges, in the old testament, has Deborah a woman and great judge.
