I hear His voice, yet am I listening?

Those next to me I know He loves as much , yet I continue to want to leave the flock.

Drawn away of my own lust looking for something new! Trying to understand who I am, why ,somehow ,someway, I might know what He knows. I am like my brother , who wishes to be like Him , hiding in the garden, waiting?

How many times will He leave the others to come again, and find me? How many times will I take what is mine, only to squander. Do you see Him waiting to kiss me when I return empty! Waiting once again to forgive?

What love, what love! My soul, that forever wants to leave, yet He forever loves me!

How many times I have put the others in jeapordy. How many times they must wonder , again, we will have to wait for Him! They will wait with the same love that He has for all! The flock will wait, maybe for the last time!

Soon He will return and we will be on our way again, hearing His voice as He leads us into eternity!

Forgive me heavenly Father , Thank you for sending your only begotten one, watching and guiding , like no one could ever do! In Christ, the shepherd of our life, who leads and guides, forever loving us this one who has given himself for us!

Do you see Him as you lag behind? Soon you will not hear His voice! He will have gone with the flock, you will no longer hear the sounds of bells, only silence. Repent and be Baptized

    Hi Fred.

Thank God for the Chief Shepherd and those who are truly his will always hear his voice!

John 10:3-4. To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth HIS OWN SHEEP by name, AND LEADETH THEM out.

And when he putteth forth HIS OWN SHEEP, he goeth before them, AND THE SHEEP FOLLOW HIM: FOR THEY KNOW HIS VOICE.

Here's something interesting and can be misunderstood.

They don't become his sheep by following him, They follow because they are his sheep. They follow him because they HEAR HIS VOICE. They have ears to hear and eyes to see.

    This reminds me of

    Matthew 13:9-16.

Who hath ears to hear, let him hear.

And the disciples came, and said unto him, Why speakest thou unto them in parables?

He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it is not given.

For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.

Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.

And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:

For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.

But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.

This is in contrast to John 8:43-45.

The Lord is calling this sheep fold out of Judaism. Look at the previous verses.

    John 9:39-41.

Then we Gentiles shall also hear him.

John 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, AND THEY SHALL HEAR MY VOICE; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.

    God bless.

    Spencer ,

After reading Jesus words about the prodical son, and hearing His explanation of the shepherd who leaves the 99 sheep behind for the 1, I was compelled to write these words. Still, seeing myself in these stories as a soul that is in constant contention with the flesh, and God. Even so the Lord does not leave us alone in the midst of our sin and unfaithfulness!

Now seeing Him as He is, a faithful, loving, forgiving shepherd, who loves and forgives us.

The hearing and seeing, is that part that we learn when we leave and return! We are begotten again unto a lively hope, He is forever watching and loving His Sheep! His explanation is perfect of who He is and what He does!

In the end,Seeing Him on the cross, is the complete knowledge of what He has done for the world! It is not until we stumble and fall, that we even begin too come close to understand what He has done for mankind! This then becomes the seeing and hearing. God bless, Scanlan Thank you,for sharing

    Amen Fred!

Well spoken, Every day I see my imperfections even as I grow to his likeness, Even in my obedience I know that is not good enough. There is 2 natures that is there. Paul had a lot to say about this struggle in Romans 7.

    God bless.
