I would like to know if I could lose my salvation? Because I've heard yes and no. But if the answer is yes, what would have to take place for me to lose my salvation? I just want to make sure I'm in good standing when Jesus calls us up.

    Thank You,

    Renee

    Renee,

Are you saved now? Have you been born of God's Spirit? If so, who are you trusting in as far as your salvation is concerned? Are you trusting in Jesus Christ, the one who saved you and has promised to never leave you? Or, are you trusting in yourself to keep yourself saved (Works based salvation)?

Faithfully open up the Bible daily and obey Gods will for us. It is the Word of God that washes us of worldly attitudes and acts. Jesus called to His disciples to, FOLLOW ME. That's what we are to do.

The New Testament should be our daily focus. That is what helps us to follow in Jesus's footsteps. We all are aware when we commit sins against His known will for our lives as Christ followers. You won't feel like it, but just repent in prayer, leave it at the cross. It's a daily cleansing. A lifestyle of prayer will keep us on the right path, because we are conscious of our good deeds and the "not Like Christ" deeds. Walk in forgiveness. Bring glory to Jesus Name.

We can ask God for help when warfare against our Christian walk, is bombarded daily by satans agents. I ask for angelic protection when I need help. God has given us everything we need to walk like Jesus did. We just have to learn what that means, and then use that knowledge in our daily lives.

If we get to thinking we don't have to pray, because we did in the past; that's not scriptural. Our lives are measured one day at a time. So "thankful prayers" are to remind us we are blessed coming in, and blessed going out. Give Glory to God, because Jesus did. He's worthy to receive glory, honor and praise. We're going to be doing it in heaven_ so start now. :)

It's not a continual drag to give praises to God for the good things we experience. We see the angels of heaven praising God in the Bible.

Society and Media compete to pollute our thinking. To believe Evil is Good, and that God is dead. That Jesus is just a person in a Bible storybook. None is really real.

We resist those thoughts in the Name of Jesus. We praise the day Jesus arose from the grave!! He made it possible for US TO FOLLOW HIM TO HEAVEN TOO.

Help your faith grow bigger, reading the Bible every day at lunch. Eat your food; remember your born again spirit needs food too__the Bible. Grow it up to huge Faith.

Romans 11:22 Behold therefore the goodness and severity of God: on them which fell, severity; but toward thee, goodness, if thou continue in his goodness: otherwise thou also shalt be cut off. There are a lot of promises to the believer in the Bible as well as to the Jews concerning the city of Jerusalem. The Jews had a hard time grasping that anything could ever happen to that city. What they missed was those promises were based on them responding properly to God's grace toward them. God gives us all the tools for that not to happen. The man that owed the ten thousand talents was saved by grace, but he ended up falling from grace because of his response to it.

I would assent to the first commentary; with the exception perhaps of whether we are worthy of the Rapture when He comes. That is something we are told in Luke to pray earnestly for to be WORTHY to escape all that tis to come to pass and to stand before the Son of Man. Something which if our garments aren't white ( Eph. 5:27); then we may have to be martyred in the Tribulation to make our garments white ( Rev. 3:4 and Rev. 6:9-11).

This concept may seem to contradict other verses such as the one which states that we are not appointed to wrath in 1 Thess. 5:9 and I believe in Romans. The source of contention is what constitutes wrath; as certainly even the 1st seal opened by Christ Himself indicates God's judgment; although the unrestrained wrath isn't until the bowl judgments; or at least the 2nd half of the Tribulation. At the very least; however we need to consider Rev. 3:11 where we are admonished not to lose our reward; immediately following the verse stating those who would be kept from the hour of trial over the WHOLE earth; those from the Philadelphia church.

We also should heed to Christ stating that He would come on a day we don't expect. Clearly the time of the Tribulation can be marked on a timetable even specific lengths of judgments; but beforehand when people are living as though normal such as in the days of Noah ( Matt. 24:37) we need to be alert. All the events of today are foreshadowing what is the true birth pangs of the beeginning of the Tribulation with sword; famine and pestilence. For now; the gates of hell will not prevail against the church ( Matt. 16:18); but the saints will be overcome in the Tribulation ( Rev. 13:7 also see Daniel).

Whether we go through the fire at the Bema seat and or the Tribulation if not staying awake it pays to allow Him to chastise us now if needed. Be blessed (Renee means born again as you may know)

Certainly is interesting in light of Psalm 91 that you are reading; those are blessed assurances.

    Hello Richard.

Some thoughts about the rapture of the saints.

The verse you mentioned in Thess states that christians will not go through God's wrath, that is God's anger and judgement. And this is logical. How could the opposite ever be possible anyway? God's children go through God's wrath? Face God's judgement? For what? Aren't we free and sanctified through Jesus' Blood and action of the Holy Spirit?

What many christians do not realize (in my belief) is that rhe great tribulation is not just any tribulation. It is a tribulation caused by God's wrath. God is angry with the sin in people's life which in the last days will exceed His patience and His border line and He will decide to bring an end to this world and bring all that is written in Rev to the world. He will also let satan literally rule on the sinful world since it is what people want. But God's wrath can not be send to the world as long as His grace is still in existence. So first His grace has to be drawn away (with the rapture of the saints) and then His wrath will be revealed. It is exactly how it was in Noah's and Lot's time. First His people were drawn out and then His wrath was revealed. Noah and Lot didn't go through all those. They were drawn away by God.

Finally lets remember Lot's wife. Those christians who have the sinful world in their hearts will not escape the distruction.

    Hi Renee.

In a way you we lost our salvation win Adam sinned. Romans 5:12. There is no way we can redeem ourselves. Isaiah 64:6. Without focusing on what the filthy rags are, have you ever tried cleaning with one? Our salvation is not in our hands. Our salvation and Sanctification is in the Lords hands.

If our lack of perfection couldn't achieve salvation, how is our lack of perfection going to keep salvation? or obtain it again if we lost it.

If you have ETERNAL LIFE you have it NOW.

John 10:28. And I give unto them eternal life; AND THEY SHALL NEVER PERISH, NEITHER SHALL ANY MAN PLUCK THEM OUT OF MY HAND.,

When we are saved we are sealed.

Ephesians 4:30. And grieve not the HOLY SPIRIT OF GOD, WHEREBY YE ARE SEALED UNTO THE DAY OF REDEMPTION.

It's God spirit in you, you may and will grieve him but he will never forsake you. Hebrews 13:5.

    God bless.

    Continued from previous.

What should be asked and a great concern is what should salvation look like in a believer because many shall be deceived.

First of all shall you continue in sin?

    Paul answers that here in

    Romans 6:1-4.

We have been REGENERATED, REBORN, Given a new heart and ready to present Christ work through us. Titus 3:4-6.

We have eternal life now that can bare fruit such as faith ect...

This is what James is saying in James 2:17-18.

What James is saying is he's going to show that this gift is in him by his works. You see a Christian is saved UNTO good works. Ephesians 2:10.

When you are saved, you are baptized into Christ. It is he that works in you. Philippians 2:13.

    Also;

Philippians 1:6. Being confident of this very thing, THAT HE WHICH HATH BEGUN A GOOD WORK IN YOU WILL PERFORM IT UNTIL THE DAY OF JESUS CHRIST:

If you can loose your salvation all these scriptures means nothing.

    Here's another scripture often used.

John 14:15. "If ye love me, keep my commandments."

Well look at the next verse.

Vs 16. "And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, THAT HE MAY ABIDE WITH YOU FOR EVER; This Love is a fruit, so who is causing you to Love Christ? CHRIST SPIRIT, The HG.

Most people say you can loose your salvation also believes you can earn salvation which you can't do. And if they hold to that it's sad to say but the scripture says they have fallen from Grace. Galatians 5:4.

I believe this means comes up short.

Now if you come up short you will hear this. "And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matthew 7:23.

I never knew you can never be told to a believer because of this verse. "My sheep hear my voice,.... AND I KNOW THEM,.... and they follow me: John 10:27.

Now if a person have habitual sin in their life, Chances are you're not saved. And you can't loose what you don't have.

    I hope this helps.

    God bless.

The first thing is to accept Christ in your heart & believe that He is Lord & confess with your lips & then let the transformation begin by studying His word & building a relationship with Him. This will allow you to die to self & begin to live for Christ through Christ -Noone knows whether you will be saved or not but Christ but you continue to allow Christ to transform you into the vessel that He created for His purpose & I think you will be on the right path. God bless you in your walk with CHRIST. i know the bible teaches to be blameless in all of our ways & put on Christ like character. Ask for forgiveness when you have wronged & be sincere because the Spirit knows when you are not sincere. Hope this helps.

    Hi Renee,

This is a common question and that's even one of the FAQs: Link

My question is if it was impossible for Christians to lose salvation, then why did Jesus warn His followers so many times to avoid sin? They were literal Christians in that they literally followed Christ around and remember all the challenges and parables He spoke? Most involved being separate from those thrown into the fire. Jesus never said to relax and don't worry, and enjoy the world, including sin, because there's no consequences anymore. One would think that satan would say that. That doesn't mean people earn heaven by works, as it's only grace, but being allowed into heaven is conditional on being a legit follower of Christ, meaning actually doing what He says! James 1:22. And sadly most people won't make it, and probably many of them think they're 'good' and entitled to get in, and some may even call themselves Christians. Matthew 7:21-23

Also, if all you have to do to get to heaven is just believe, then why does the Bible say this? James 2:19. The fact is that satan is roaming to deceive people, even among Christians. Is he deceiving people into being 'gooder' than they need to be or is it more likely he is deceiving people into assuming rationalizing evil and assuming they're saved when they are actually disrespecting and spitting on Jesus? Hebrews 10:26. This should deeply scare some people and they should feel it in their heart if this applies to them.

Instead Jesus kept warning Christians and everyone over and over and challenging them. Paul also was frustrated with some of the Christians who were going astray and read what he wrote in his letters to them. Paul said to run the race to get the prize. He didn't say the race is already won, so go sin as much as you want. There's lots of scripture echoing this, but these are easy to find and there's lists in that page above too. Also the idea of being able to commit horrible sins as a Christian and still go to heaven contradicts scripture in blasphemy of the holy ghost, because it clearly says no one will be forgiven of that.

Revelation 2:10 "Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life."

2 Corinthians 5:10 - all will be judged, including Christians. Some like to assume they get to skip that as if they have a free pass . It clearly says ALL, not some, and not just non-Christians.

    Hebrews 10:26

Salvation is always there for you , but A believer can fall away so far that they don't make the first resurrection, whereby spending the 1000 Millennium on the wrong side of Heaven being ruled instead doing the ruling for Christ.

This would be the first death, and you would still get another chance to come back to God thru Christ before the Great White Throne Judgement, I pray you make the First!

Read scripture, find out what God wants from you,,,
