Link It seems a though Isaiah 42:8 no longer makes any sense. It says, "I am the LORD: that is my name:..." But, we know "the Lord" isn't His name its His title. Question, what is the Lord's name? Is it YHWH? And, who took it out of the Bible and, why don't we put His name back in the Bible?

    Brian,

That's great you know how to "Link" straight to this website & the verse, I've been volunteering with the questions for multiple years & don't know how you guys do that. Isaiah 42:8,

If you look at the Link you've posted at the bottom of that page the words/short phrases are broken down, if you hover over [I am the LORD], it shows, the translation from (Yhovah) from the Strongs Exhaustive Concordance included in the website for study.

If you click on the words [ ] it gives much more information. Also including Brown-Driver-Briggs as "Yahweh"

Both from translation into English text as "Yhvh"

    Strongs as a Transliteration.

Transliteration is a method used in phonics, sounds, similar from each of the languages, like sound in Hebrew was "Yhwh"

This is from the 1611 KJV, if you go to the 1611 KJV, tab, you can even read the pages of the photocopied pages on the right side of page.

I hope you find this useful as you study

Do you have a translation that clearly defines the differences in Names of GOD? I haven't seen or heard of one. That's why I study along with translation help like Strongs Exhaustive Concordance & other translations. I'm thankful this website recently included these tools.
