children of disobedience is an Hebraism : not disobedient children, but sons of Satan in a special manner, being those in whom he works, and on whom the wrath of God comes.
So if you are of the Bloodline of Cain, who is the seed of Satan. you are said children.

All of the bloodline of Cain perished in the flood. And there is nothing in Scripture that says that Satan is Cain's father. In Genesis, Adam is said to have known Eve and she conceived and bore Cain. It does not say that Satan knew Eve and she conceived CAin. This serpent seed doctrine is evil and untrue.

Also, one can read of genealogy, the generations of, and the Sons OF, beginning with Genesis 5.

What they should know is that every person who belongs to Jesus Christ is no longer energized by the same force, but they are now under the influence and being energized by God's Spirit within!
To get the full understanding of Ephesians 2:2, it needs to be taken with Verses 1 through 10 which gives us the process of salvation. But taking Verse 2 by itself, it says, "Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, and secondly: according to the prince of the power of the air, (which is Satan), the spirit that is now working, or energizing in the children of "the" disobedience: There's a definite article with the word disobedience. It is the specific disobedience, the disobedience to God. So, the prince and power of the air is energizing the children of disobedience, the same way it did us prior to our salvation.
