I'm totally lost on most of the discussion in Philippians chapter 1. I've read this chapter like five times in the commentaries and researched it and I'm not really finding anything about marriage in there I meant that's an overall yes thing to deal with but how did it come to be such a discussion in Philippians one? I guess I'll go ahead and give my input on it though I believe if you are an unsaved person and you get married and divorced then what you do once you're saved is what matters otherwise why would we be telling people that Jesus forgives our sins. before I was saved doesn't count as it does after I was saved he cleanse me of all my sins and still now I'm a new in person in Christ from that day forward everything matters. Including divorce and marriage you would definitely apply God's word to divorce and marriage and you wouldn't do it unless adultery. But again before being said you didn't know this.

Lorrie. The context of phillipians is dealing with fellowship among Christian's

And like-minded in the gospel. There were divisions even between leaders

That was affecting the believers and making division. 1 Corinthians chapter 7

Deals with marriage whether Christian or not.
