King David backslided many times but came back to God with repentance. Wasn't he accepted? Is there anybody in the world who never falls again into the same mistakes? If there is, then he is definitely not human. "Repentance" is the magic word.
But one may say " I have done something really terrible, does God still forgive me?". How terrible was it? More than what that thief who was crucified next to Jesus (but repented) had done? He went to Paradise that same day.
