How does Jesus use the immediate examples to explain the kingdom!

When walking through the gates, into the city, describing the needle that the camels go through , we see Him while He is walking and talking to His disciples. As if He see's us who will soon be reading His words! The majesty of His eternal presence found in His words of God. If we seek out the truths that are in it, it becomes a well of water, springing up into eternal life, it just keeps flowing.

With the evidence of who God is, it can be difficult if we depend on ourselves expecting God too do what we expect and want. "With man it is impossible, but with God all things are possible!"

Our flesh constantly looking for or asking another question, that is outside His spirit that must dwell in us. This indwelling miracle, must come from Him, this is the grace found in Him!

Can you see Him walking and talking too you as He turns the next corner?

Remember all things are possible with God! Trust in Him always, waiting and watching!

    Repent and be Baptized

    Well said Fred,

The needle and the camel and the rich man; to enter into the kingdom of God, is a reference to (ill gotten gain's) For it is easier for a camel to go through a needle's eye,(a small side door of the big open gates), barely big enough for a person to pass, used for entrance after sundown: than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

When caravan's of merchants pass through the big open gate's into the city in those day's, their camel's are packed and loaded with goods for the market.

Christ is saying it is easier for this loaded down camel to pass through the eye(small side door)than a rich man(implying the gain's of most rich men are Ill gotten) to enter into the Kingdom of God.

    That's the example, and It's impossible !

    Hi Luke,

That is a good take on this passage. Here is another.

Perhaps Jesus is saying that the camel could go through this keyhole door if all of the "baggage" was unloaded from him. The camel does not care about these things anyway. But a rich man would want to come through this door (God's Kingdom with Jesus as the door) with all his "baggage" (worldly goods), but the kingdom of God is not about worldly riches or treasures that rot or rust. A rich man may have much difficulty parting with his riches and leaving them outside of the Kingdom of God, so that is why Jesus said that it is so much harder for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of God. Were our heart is there is where our treasure is. If we love the world and all that it brings us above the Lord, we will not be "fit" for His Kingdom. We need to divest ourselves of all that hinders us in order to be able to enter the Kingdom of God through the only door that gives entrance, that is Jesus. Those who cannot lose all things for the sake of Christ will be left outside the door of the Kingdom with all their stuff until they die and spend eternity in hell rather than living eternally in God's Kingdom with all the riches of Jesus Christ as our treasure.
