Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."

"mighty God" = Jesus as a baby is called God.

Titus 2:13-14 "Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

"God and our Savior Jesus Christ"

Isaiah 7:14 - Jesus is called Immanuel which means "God with us"

1 Timothy 3:16 "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."

"God was manifest in the flesh" = this is Jesus, who was manifest in the flesh. John 1:14

    Revelation 19:13-16

"his name is called The Word of God" = Jesus.

"and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God." = Jesus

"And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS." = Jesus

John 1:1 clearly says the "Word was God."

"Lord" also means deity or God.

"But Jesus prayed to God so how can He be God?"

Because the Bible says He is. Jesus has always been Jn 1:2 and relegated Himself to become a temporary man in the flesh prayed to God the Father. Just because He prayed as a temporary man does not automatically mean He wasn't God, the Son. 1 John 5:7

    Philippians 2:9-11

"Wherefore God also hath highly exalted him, and given him a name which is above every name:

    That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth;

And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father."

Amen Adam what a wonderful post....And not only is Christ Jesus God the son but he has the power to propagate very God with his seeds his Words his breath etc....Jesus tells us to whom the WORD came ( his seed ) it made them Gods....We must remember that God Almighty Swore by his very self when he made that PROMISE of the multiplication of Jesus Seed....I will multiply thy Seed as the stars of heaven in multitude... Gen. 26:4 kjv...Thus the Contents of the book of LIFE IN THE FATHERS RIGHT HAND.

......When Jesus breathe on his disciples he was propagating very God the H.G.....Thats y he said to whom the word came it made them Gods....And that which is born of the spirit is spirit as the H.G. IS SPIRIT.

Thanks Alex. I agree with parts of your comment, but if your belief is that Jesus mass produces gods like a factory equal to the one and only God, then no, that is not what I believe or is what the Bible says. This may not be your belief at all, but it is of others I've noticed on this forum so I'll explain...

Gen 26:4 is regarding the seed and lineage from Abraham. It's talking about people, not gods. He's giving countries to people, not gods, for example.

If the comment is referring to 'gods' as in Psalms 82:6, Acts 7:40, notice it uses lower case 'g'. The word God is not used in the same manner as the one true God uppercase, but plural lowercase, which indicates a metaphor for His followers having characteristics of His authority. Psalm 82:1 demonstrates the difference.

If believers can be metaphorically considered 'gods,' how much more is the One whom God has chosen and sent ( John 10:34-36)?

Before believers start running around assuming they're deities from these few select verses (exactly what satan wants), the scripture must also be balanced with the entire context of other scripture in God's Word, such as:

Rom 13:1-4 - calls followers the "minister of God", that all power comes from God, but all are subject to God's "higher powers".

    John 17:3

    James 4:7

    1 Peter 5:6

    Romans 13:1

    Romans 12:1-2

    etc.

    God bless

Hiya Adam GBU ....Lemme speak to you for a Sec....In Hebrews there are no upper case or lower case letters....Its just Gods And in Gen 26:4...That is not addressing just Abraham but also Jesus as Gal.3:15 tells us....Now unto Abraham and his seed were the Promises made but he says not seeds plural but unto 1 seed which is CHRIST....Thus its Christ that is gona be multiplied as the stars of Heaven....Thats y the sower will go forth to sow his precious seed in our hearts that we might birth a Baby Christ the H.G. THAT CHILD OF Promise....Thus the Woman in Rev 12:5....And that Child that the woman gives birth to is a Baby God...The H.G...As he said that which is BORN BORN of the spirit is Spirit as our God is Spirit....And Adam we are gonna be marrried to that Child the H.G.....Which is spirit...Thus 1 ST COR.15:53....We are gonna put on incorruption and IMMORATALITY...A marriage is when 2 are made 1....And immorality is Godliness..And we are gonna bemaried to this IMMORALITY...God Almighty.

... Isaiah 62:5....As a young man marries a virgin so shall thy sons marry thee....We are gona marry our Sons, the H.G that we have given birth to which is Spirit....We are gonna marry our sons which is the H.G. that we have given birth to from that good seed the living word...Remember what Jesus said whosoever receiveth one such Child in my name receiveth me..

...And Adam we cannot receive his Spirit without being married to God....Its gonna be a hugh number that no man can number...As the stars of Heaven in multitudes....That was the essence of that great Promise...meaning every body....When he said I will pour out of my Spirit on all flesh....Thats an Israel of God Number....If i be lifted up i will draw ALL MEN unto me....Satan does not want any body knowing their rights under the NEW Covenant that our lord gave to us by his Blood at Calvary.....This is my Blood of the New Covenant..Drink ye all of it.... Jeremiah 31:34 New Covenant i will KNOW them ALL from least to GREATEST..
