    Hi Linda,

    It was God ! An Angel of God ! The Holy Spirit ! read verces 26 thru 30, where God changes Jacobs name to Israel, and YES God wants us to Bless Him, blessed means HAPPY, when we bless Him He blesses us, cheers!
