    When the Prophet Ezra returns to rebuild the temple, what hindered the progress?

    The delay in building the Temple looks to be complacency, please read Haggai 1,

    Haggai 1:4,5,

    However the trouble was in rebuilding protection to be able to rebuild the Temple, Ezra 5, Nehemiah 2, Nehemiah 4, Nehemiah 6,
