Bible Discussion Thread

My children are grieving me. Their dad told a lot of lies on me before he died--he had fallen into sin and did everything he could to destroy our family--he did a wonderful job for satan. The lies he told still continue to cause much destruction in our lives, but my sons carry them on, repeat them to each other and those married into the family, and then gang up on me and lash me without mercy--I am never forgiven.

I say, "forgiven" loosely, because a lie is still a lie no matter how many times it's said, but since they believe the lies, they treat me as if I can NEVER be redeemed.

Besides the lies, any truth that they bring up to talk about is warped and no matter what I say, they say I'm lying. This makes talking pointless because it doesn't matter what I say, they say I'm a liar and everything I say OR don't say is used against me.

I struggle with feelings that come from the harshness their dad caused in my life--I don't know what to do with this except pray, but I'm tired of being alone in my grief. I long to have my family back the way God intended for it to be.

Dear Kshs,

I am so sorry to hear that your family is treating you so badly due to lies and unwillingness to have these lies be corrected. I will pray for you and your family today.

Dear Heavenly Father, I lift up to you today Kshs and ask in the name of Jesus that You will open the hearts and minds of her children to be changed by the truth she tells them. I ask that you reverse all of the harm these lies have done to Kshs and her family. I ask that this rift in her family be healed and that You will restore love and peace between her and her children, in-laws, and grandchildren. Open doors for honest communication to occur and love to pour between these family members. Amen.
