2:9 he that saith he is in the light and hateth his brother is in darkness even until now 1:5 God is light and in him is no darkness at all 3:24 and he that keepeth his commandment God dwelleth in him and he in God 3:24 and this is his commandment that we should believe on the name of his son Jesus Christ AND love one another as he gave commandment 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God dwelleth in him and he in God ......Jesus is the only beggoten Son of God but it also says that now are we the sons of god Jesus is also your brother the commandments of 3:23 as the Word of God he gives you the Fathers commandment to believe that he is his son As the son of God he gives you his commandment to love one another John 13:34 there is only one way to love your brother Jesus by keeping his commandments 3:23 John 14:21 He that hath my commandments and keepeth them he it is that loveth me and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father then it says he that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings his commandments the law of moses the things i know about the law the law is not of faith whatsoever is not of faith is sin without faith its immposible to please god the law is of works for by grace are you saved through faith and that not of yourselves it is the gift of god not of works now to him that worketh is the reward not recond of grace but of debt but to him that worketh not but believeth on him who justifieth the ungodly his faith is counted for righteousness the law is a schoolmaster to bring us to Christ but after we have come to Christ there is no more need for the law the schoolmaster the law strengthens sin to show sin working in us and to show our need for a savior the law is not of faith but of works whatsoever is not of faith is sin
